What are the Best Skin Care Products of 2023?
Is Meladerm Skincare Worth The Money?
A common question about this brand is if the products are worth the cost.
In our opinion, Meladerm Skincare products are worth the money, but there are other brands that deliver greater value.
One brand is Carrot & Stick, a clean skincare brand that perfectly balances the gentle nurturing of plants with the powerful results of innovative science.

$240 for $88.
What’s Inside Meladerm?
Meladerm includes over 10 ingredients that can help brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Below we’ll discuss each of these ingredients in detail so you’ll know exactly how they can benefit your skin.
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C)
We’ve been hearing for years that Vitamin C is the best anti-aging ingredient. It’s a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.
Vitamin C also helps fade dark spots, evens out skin tone, and increases radiance. As if that wasn’t enough, research suggests that when vitamin C is applied to the skin, it significantly reverses aging-related structural changes by influencing collagen and elastin synthesis.
Meladerm contains sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable derivative of vitamin C that’s converted to ascorbic acid, the active form of vitamin C, after being absorbed into the skin.
But our favorite Vitamin C serum is Carrot & Stick The Defence Serum. It contains 3 distinct types of Vitamin C that work together to help fight free radical damage. We recommend using it every morning.
Niacinamide, the amide form of vitamin B3, is not just a brightening ingredient, but a true multi-tasker that provides numerous benefits to the skin.
For instance, niacinamide is well known as a potent antioxidant. Antioxidants help the skin combat free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.
In addition, studies have shown that niacinamide can repair the skin barrier and improve skin moisture, as well as reduce inflammation, blotchiness, hyperpigmentation, acne, and wrinkling.
We recommend Carrot & Stick The Repair Serum because it combines niacinamide with seven plant-based neuropeptides and soothing, brightening botanicals to promote a youthful glow.
White Mulberry Root Extract
White mulberry is a species of flowering plant that has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine. Extracts from the roots of the white mulberry plant provide skin-brightening effects, and also work synergistically with ingredients like licorice root extract and kojic acid.
Licorice Root Extract
Licorice root extract is well known for its anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties. But licorice can also provide a considerable skin brightening effect thanks to a component called glabridin.
Skullcap Root Extract
Skullcap root extract contains several potent antioxidants, and is also a tyrosinase inhibitor. Tyrosinase is a key enzyme involved in the synthesis of melanin, the pigment that gives skin color and also contributes to the formation of undesirable dark spots. By inhibiting tyrosinase, skullcap root extract may be able to reduce abnormal pigmentation associated with aging and exposure to UV light.
Bearberry Leaf Extract
Bearberry leaf extract is another ingredient that functions as a tyrosinase inhibitor, and therefore can help brighten the skin and fade dark spots.
Kojic acid is extracted from various species of mushrooms and is also a byproduct in the fermentation process of rice. It helps to brighten the skin and fade dark spots by inhibiting tyrosinase.
Another tyrosinase inhibitor in Meladerm cream is alpha arbutin. Alpha arbutin has been extensively studied and is proven to work effectively on all skin types.
Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine (Sepiwhite)
Sepiwhite is a vectorized essential amino acid developed from phenylalanine, an amino acid involved in melanin synthesis. When combined with other ingredients like AHA and niacinamide, Sepiwhite becomes a powerful skin brightener suitable for all skin types and ethnicities.
Phenylethyl Resorcinol (SymWhite)
Phenylethyl resorcinol is a synthetic compound that is partially derived from natural lightening compounds found in Scotch pine bark. It exhibits very potent antioxidant activity and also helps with hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase.
GigaWhite is actually a mixture of seven organic skin-brightening plant extracts. Studies have shown that GigaWhite can increase the luminescence of the skin while also reducing the color intensity of age spots.
How to use Meladerm
After washing and drying the skin, apply an even layer of Meladerm cream over the desired area twice daily. Massage thoroughly until cream is absorbed completely. The use of an additional broad spectrum sunblock of SPF 30 (or higher) is strongly recommended.

Meladerm reviews on the brand’s website are mostly 4 and 5 star ratings, with many customers sharing positive results after using Meladerm cream. There are many positive Meladerm reviews that confirm this product can help to fade all types of hyperpigmentation while improving the skin tone. However, many reviewers share that it does take some time for the product to start working.
One very positive Meladerm review says, “I was so skeptical about buying this as it’s not cheap. I’ve had hyperpigmentation for 11 years and have tried everything to get rid of it. It has at times really gotten me down. I decided to take the plunge and buy this after reading reviews. I had quite dark pigmentation on my forehead, just below my eyes and cheeks. At first I didn’t see a change but OMG suddenly there was a huge noticeable change in the pigmentation darkness. I’m on my seventh week and there is such a difference. I use this twice a day taking a decent size pump as my pigmentation covers a lot of my face, I’m still on my first bottle!”
There are also several Meladerm reviews that compare this product to more expensive products and treatments, saying that Meladerm actually worked much better. For instance, one reviewer shares, “I have literally spent thousands of dollars over the years on peels, medicated treatments, dermatologists, Obagi, Rodan & Fields, etc. and so far, this seems to be the only product that is actually doing something. I’m pleased.”
Negative Meladerm reviews are mostly from customers who did not see any noticeable change in their skin after using the Meladerm cream. For example, one reviewer shares, “I bought it earlier also(1 bottle) but that time it did not work on me and again I bought it (2 bottle) and I have finished my 1 bottle but again there is NO result on my skin, my skin concern is MELASMA, it gave me BIG hole into my pocket and my expectations also, BIG 0 from my side.”

Carla DeWall Original review: Apr 27, 2020.
I bought 2 bottles of Meladerm and have been using it according to directions for over 2 months. I have a dime sized solar lentigo on my left cheek, and I have seen absolutely no change whatsoever using Meladerm on it. Very disappointed.
