Vibriance Super C Serum Review

SKIN CARE REVIEWS

01.19.23DISCLAIMER

You already know that vitamin C is good for your health, but it is also good for your skin. Vitamin C is one of the most common skincare ingredients and for good reason. This antioxidant is thought to help brighten skin, reduce skin inflammation, and tackle dark spots. It may also help promote collagen production and even out skin tone, while keeping skin hydrated too. Some scientists think its super powers can even go further by helping protect the skin from UV light. Vitamin C is commonly found in serums, creams and masks.

Vitamin C is also the key ingredient in the Super C Penetrating Serum by Vibriance. Here’s a closer look at Vibriance’s serum, how does it work and is it right for you?

What is Vibriance?

Vibriance is a direct to consumer skincare company that sells a small selection of products including the Super C Penetrating Serum, the Moisturizing Cleanser and the Moisturizing Cream. The products are sold individually as well as in a bundle.

What is Vibriance Super C Penetrating Serum?

Super C Penetrating Serum is a multi-tasking product. It is a serum as well as a moisturizer, and the company says that it can help fight wrinkles, fade age spots, hydrate, even out skin tone and soften skin. The serum is also meant to lift and firm the skin, and can be used around the eyes.

What are the Best Skin Care Products of 2023?

How Should Vibriance Vitamin C Be Used?

According to the company, Vibriance Super C Penetrating Serum can be used twice a day, at morning and at night but Vibriance recommends starting slowly by using it just once a day, preferably at bed time. Only one to two pumps are needed. The product can be applied to the face, neck, eyes and also on the hands and forearms to help fade dark spots.

What’s Inside Vibriance Super C Serum?

As the name suggests, vitamin C is the star ingredient in Vibriance Super C Serum. Keep reading to learn more about this ingredient, as well as a few supporting ingredients in Vibriance Super C Serum.

Vitamin C
We’ve been hearing for years that Vitamin C is the best anti-aging ingredient. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.

Vitamin C also helps to promote a brighter complexion with fewer dark spots and a more even skin tone by inhibiting melanin synthesis.

Vibriance has swapped the standard vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) for ethyl ascorbic acid, which it says is more stable and potent.

But our favorite antioxidant serum is Carrot & Stick The Concentrate. It contains a multitude of plant and marine antioxidants to help defend against visible aging and free radical damage. Use it every morning.

Vitamin E
Vibriance Super C Serum also contains vitamin E, which is great because vitamins C and E are known as “network antioxidants”.

As a publication in the journal Dermatologic Therapy explains, “because vitamin C regenerates oxidized vitamin E, the combination in a cosmeceutical formulation is synergistic — particularly in UV protection.”

Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)
A hydrating ingredient that’s included in the Vibriance Super C Serum is panthenol, also known as provitamin B5.

Clinical studies show that panthenol-based formulations increase skin moisture content and had a significant effect on skin barrier function by decreasing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

Furthermore, panthenol has been shown to improve the skin barrier function. It’s able to penetrate into the deeper skin layers and is absorbed into the cells before being metabolized into pantothenic acid. This ability to penetrate deeply is useful in adding essential moisture, helping to maintain skin’s natural moisture balance.

Do Vibriance Products Work?

When evaluating whether a product may be right for you, it’s important to keep in mind that everyone’s skin is unique and people may have different reactions to the same product. One person’s miracle product may do nothing for someone else. It can be helpful to look at customer reviews of a product, but there aren’t many available for Vibriance Super C Penetrating Serum apart from those on the company website.

Vibriance’s website gives its product a 4.5 star rating from around 1800 reviews. Sixty four percent of customers gave it five stars, with feedback including “Fantastic, it has lightened my sun damaged brown spots also my lines appear less pronounced. Well done, vVbriance” and “Great Product, it really works! I am 84 Years old & my lines on Forehead as well as the Laughlines are so much softer!”

Customers who didn’t like the product reported that it did nothing for their skin. “I used it faithfully every morning and night and have seen absolutely no positive results. It did however bring out brown spots on my face that I never had before! Not exactly what I was looking for” along with “I have been using Vibriance for a little over a month now. I really like the fragrance but have seen no difference in the condition of my skin. Same old wrinkles and lines. Disappointed.”

I’ve used 3 bottles of this Vibriance product. It smells nice. It goes on nice. But, it does not make one bit difference for wrinkles, brown spots or red spots on your skin. None!! Zilch!! Nada!! I have older skin, so hence I used the 3 bottles, thinking I should give it some time. Do NOT waste your money.
