Womaness Reviews: A Review of The 8 Best Womaness Skincare Products

SKIN CARE REVIEWS

11.12.22DISCLAIMER

The story behind Womaness began when co-founders Sally and Michelle asked a simple question: “Where do women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond go to find solutions as they enter menopause?”

Since there wasn’t anywhere to go when they first posed this question, they decided to create the answer, and that’s how Womaness was born. This brand offers a collection of personal care products for women experiencing menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, brain fog, fine lines, vaginal dryness, low libido, and bladder leaks.

In this review, we’ll specifically focus on the Womaness skincare products. We’ll cover the formulation details, including the key ingredients and the research that supports (or doesn’t support) their use in skincare.

We’ll also share some Womaness reviews so that you can get an idea of what customers really think of these products.

What Are The Top 8 Best Womaness Skincare Products?

The Womaness skincare collection currently consists of 8 products. We’ll give you the details on each one in this section.

Womaness Let’s Neck Serum

Is it true that you need a separate cream specifically for your neck? In our opinion, no, simply because there are plenty of anti-aging serums and creams that can work well for both the face and neck.

But that doesn’t stop companies from formulating neck creams and serums to specifically address the signs of aging in thinner, more fragile skin on the jawline, neck, and décolletage. And that’s exactly what the Womaness Let’s Neck Serum is claimed to do.

The serum features Hyaclear 7, a blend of seven powerful types of sodium hyaluronate (the salt form of hyaluronic acid) which optimizes moisturization, elasticity, and firmness.

There’s also a microalgae extract called Pepha-Tight that forms a thin film on your skin, delivering an instant tightening experience. Over time with daily usage, it provides a firming effect, protects your skin from oxidative stress, and helps strengthen its natural connective tissue.

A final key ingredient in the Womaness Let’s Neck formula is derived from the amla fruit, also known as the Indian gooseberry. This fruit extract is a naturally potent antioxidant known for brightening and evening your skin tone. It’s been shown to reduce wrinkles and the visibility of freckles and age spots, and help your skin retain its natural moisture.

The only drawback with this serum is the inclusion of a synthetic fragrance blend, which isn’t doing your skin any favors (we’ll explain more in the Key Ingredients section below).

Bottom Line: An anti-aging neck serum with a blend of innovative ingredients to improve the look of thinner, more fragile skin on the jawline, neck, and décolletage, but keep in mind that the formula includes fragrance.

Womaness The Works Body Cream

The Works isn’t your average body cream. Sure, it moisturizes your skin. But it goes above and beyond most body moisturizers by boosting elasticity, tightening crepiness, and restoring a smooth skin texture  — all because the brand insisted on using powerhouse ingredients that are normally set aside for facial creams.

For instance, the formula includes Hyaclear 7 to deliver hydration while optimizing elasticity and firmness. There’s also Filmexel, a  film-forming “second skin” ingredient that instantly smoothes, lifts, and firms wrinkles while also restoring your skin’s radiance.

And we love that this cream includes a decent amount of niacinamide, which is one of the best skincare ingredients, in our opinion. And there’s research to back it up.

For example, a publication in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, states that niacinamide can repair the skin barrier and improve skin moisture, as well as reduce inflammation, blotchiness, hyperpigmentation, acne, and wrinkling. Pretty impressive, right?

Bottom Line: A body cream that not only moisturizes, but also boosts elasticity, tightens crepiness, and restores a smooth skin texture.

Womaness Overnight Magic Cream

If you’re trying to prevent or reduce signs of skin aging, then you’ve probably heard that it’s a good idea to add a retinol cream into your nightly routine.

Maybe you’ve tried a retinol product, but you’ve experienced the common (yet annoying) side effects of retinol, like skin dryness and peeling.

If so, then the Womaness Overnight Magic Cream could be a good option due to the key ingredient bakuchiol, a plant-based retinol alternative.

Research has shown that bakuchiol provides many of the same benefits of retinol, including the ability to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and reduce the effects of sun damage (including uneven skin tone).

One of the main benefits of bakuchiol is that it provides retinol-like effects without side effects like redness, irritation, or peeling.

Bottom Line: This Womaness night cream provides anti-aging benefits, like reducing lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone, thanks to bakuchiol.

Womaness Eye Opener

This lightweight eye cream is said to provide instant benefits like the tightening of puffiness, hydration of the skin, and a blurring of fine lines. And over time, it’s said to work to visibly diminish dark circles and help smooth out wrinkles.

The formula contains many of the same key ingredients that you’ll find in other Womaness products, including the super-hydrating Hyaclear 7, plant-based retinol alternative bakuchiol, and the skin-tightening algae Filmexel.

There’s also plenty of emollients to soften and smooth the delicate skin around the eyes, such as squalane, mangosteen seed butter, and more.

Bottom Line: A lightweight eye cream that provides anti-aging benefits while also softening skin and improving hydration.

Womaness Out D@mn Spot

During menopause, you may start to notice more and more dark spots appearing on your face, neck, hands, and décolleté. That’s because one of estrogen’s functions is to help control melanin production. Melanin is the pigment in your skin, hair, and eyes.

If estrogen levels decrease — as they do during menopause — melanin production can increase. This leads to hyperpigmentation, commonly known as “age spots.”

To help with this menopause-related issue, Womaness created the Out D@mn Spot patches to tackle dark spots. Each patch contains a system of micro-darts that dissolve to precisely deliver a concentrated formula deep into your skin.

One of those ingredients is skin-brightening niacinamide. Another is tranexamic acid, which also helps to brighten skin and fade dark spots by inhibiting plasmin.

The formula also includes glutathione, one of the most important antioxidants naturally found in the body and skin. It helps protect against oxidative stress, and can help target dark spots, even out skin tone, and restore skin brightness.

Not to mention there’s plenty of hydrating ingredients in the formula, such as sodium hyaluronate, glycerin, and trehalose.

Bottom Line: These dark spot patches use a blend of niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and glutathione to help fade dark spots anywhere on the body.

Womaness Fountain of Glow

There’s no such thing as a miracle treatment when it comes to combating age, though vitamin C comes pretty close. It’s a powerful antioxidant that protects your skin from environmental free radical damage while also helping to fade dark spots, even out skin tone, and improve radiance.

As if that wasn’t enough, research suggests that when vitamin C is applied to the skin, it significantly reverses aging-related structural changes by influencing collagen and elastin synthesis. A vitamin C serum is the best way to deliver this active ingredient into the deeper layers of your skin.

Womaness Fountain of Glow is the brand’s vitamin C serum that includes 8% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, a stable vitamin C derivative. Plus, we love that vitamin C is combined with plenty of hydrating ingredients, such as caprylic/capric triglyceride, jojoba seed oil, and squalane.

The only drawback with this serum is the inclusion of fragrance.

Bottom Line: A vitamin C serum that should help to fade dark spots, even out skin tone, and improve radiance.

Womaness Gone In A Hot Flash

We’ve reviewed many facial mists, but never one that promises to instantly soothe hot flashes and night sweats like this one by Womaness.

Gone In A Hot Flash is formulated to not only calm your skin with a non-irritating, menthol-free cooling sensation, but it’ll naturally neutralize any lingering odor, too. That’s because of the ingredient Deoplex, a plant-derived odor absorber with powerful enzymes that naturally neutralize smells.

The formula also includes multi-tasking niacinamide, as well as several different humectants to add hydration.

It’s safe to spray anywhere, from face (even over makeup) to body to intimate areas, wherever you need a little bit of calm.

Bottom Line: An all-over cooling mist that’s formulated to instantly soothe hot flashes and night sweats while also neutralizing lingering odor.

Womaness Active Glow

Womaness Active Glow is a hormone-free, clinically researched supplement that’s formulated to support vibrant hair, skin, and nails along with healthy joints. The key ingredients in this supplement include Longvida, Pomella, Hyaluronic Acid, and Biotin.

Longvida is a bioavailable curcumin extract, derived from turmeric, that helps to reduce inflammation and support joint health and mental wellbeing.

Pomella is a patented pomegranate extract that promotes skin wellbeing and elasticity with antioxidants that offer support from oxidative stress and collagen damage. The polyphenols from Pomella provide healthy phytonutrients to support gut and skin health.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by your body deep in the dermis to support skin’s ability to maintain hydration. Clinical studies show that the dose of hyaluronic acid in Womaness Active Glow significantly decreased wrinkles while also increasing skin moisture by 50%.

Lastly, a clinical dose of biotin is included to improve skin health, strengthen nails, and stimulate hair growth.

Bottom Line: A daily supplement formulated with unique patented ingredients and essential nutrients to support vibrant hair, skin, and nails along with healthy joints.

What Are The Key Ingredients in Womaness Skincare Products?

There’s not just one key ingredient that’s used throughout the Womaness skincare collection, but rather a mix of evidenced-based ingredients (like niacinamide and vitamin C) with innovative ingredients like Filmexel, Hyaclear 7, Deoplex, Pepha-Tight, and more.

There’s also plenty of botanical extracts in Womaness skincare products, such as bakuchiol, jojoba seed oil, squalane, just to name a few.

We love that all Womaness skincare products are free from estrogen, phytoestrogen, added hormones, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, artificial colors, formaldehyde, and mineral oils.

However, we’d like to point out that the brand uses synthetic fragrance ingredients in nearly all of their products.

The use of synthetic fragrance ingredients can be a problem because the brand can use a proprietary blend of chemicals to create the fragrance. On average, this consists of 30 to 50 chemicals (but it can have as much as 200 components).

Want to know the worst part? The brand does not have to disclose which chemicals they use on the label. They are allowed to list this blend as “Fragrance (Parfum)” on the ingredient list.

Furthermore, a 2018 study by Women’s Voices for the Earth discovered that in over 3,000 chemicals reportedly used for fragrances, 1,242 were chemicals of concern – and that included at least 7 possible carcinogenic (cancer-causing) agents.

Fragrance ingredients also have the potential to cause skin irritation and sensitivity.

How Much Do Womaness Skincare Products Cost?

Womaness skincare products are pretty affordable, with the prices being comparable to higher end drugstore brands such as Olay and Burt’s Bees. For example, the Womaness Let’s Neck Serum costs $24.99 USD for 1.7 fl oz.

Where to Buy Womaness Skincare Products?

Womaness skincare products are sold on the brand’s website (womaness.com).

Is Womaness Cruelty Free?

Yes, Womaness is cruelty free and the products are officially Leaping Bunny Certified. Leaping Bunny Certification means Womaness skincare products are free of animal testing at every stage of product development.

Is Womaness Vegan?
