What is Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum?

Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid 1% + Vitamin C Serum is an anti-aging facial serum that is said to improve skin texture and brightness while also filling-in and diminishing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This serum is recommended for all skin types and is claimed to result in visibly brighter, plumper, softer and smoother skin. Those are a lot of claims for one product, especially considering that Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum is primarily sold on the Dollar Tree. In this review, we’ll discuss a few of the key ingredients in this serum, how to use it, Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid reviews from real customers, and more.

What are the Best Skin Care Products of 2024?

What Are The Key Ingredients in Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum?

As you can probably guess from the name, both hyaluronic acid and vitamin C are key ingredients in the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid 1% + Vitamin C Serum. But we’d also like to discuss additional key ingredients, including vitamin E, niacinamide, and panthenol. Plus, we’ll touch on the role of mica and titanium dioxide in this serum.

Let’s start with the benefits of hyaluronic acid in the Skin Nutrition Hyaluronic Acid Serum. First, we’d like to point out that this formula actually contains sodium hyaluronate, the sodium salt form of hyaluronic acid. The benefits of sodium hyaluronate are based on the ability of this molecule to absorb and hold water. In fact, sodium hyaluronate is able to hold more water than any other natural substance—up to 1,000 times its weight in water! Therefore, sodium hyaluronate is an exceptional ingredient for adding hydration to the skin. Furthermore, according to the scholarly journal DermatoEndocrinology, sodium hyaluronate helps to reduce signs of aging by protecting collagen and decreasing epidermal water loss associated with sun exposure, low humidity, and other external factors associated with skin dryness.

The form of vitamin C that is used in the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid 1% + Vitamin C Serum is ascorbyl glucoside. Even though L-ascorbic acid is the most chemically active form of vitamin C, it is also the least stable. Ascorbyl glucoside has a structure in which the C2-hydroxyl group of L-ascorbic acid is masked with glucose, which allows this vitamin C derivative to have greater stability in the presence of air, heat, light, and pH changes than L-ascorbic acid. After being absorbed into the skin, ascorbyl glucoside is broken down into L-ascorbic acid. Therefore, ascorbyl glucoside has many of the same benefits as L-ascorbic acid. These benefits include improving skin brightness, helping to fade dark spots, and increasing skin firmness by stimulating the production of collagen.

We like that the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum also includes vitamin E because vitamins C and E are network antioxidants, which means that when used together their antioxidant activity is even more powerful. In addition, vitamin E can help the skin retain moisture by strengthening the skin’s barrier function.

Another key ingredient in Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Serum is niacinamide, the amide form of vitamin B3 (niacin) that provides numerous benefits to the skin. According to the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, niacinamide has been shown to repair the skin barrier and improve skin moisture, as well as reduce inflammation, blotchiness, hyperpigmentation, acne, and wrinkling.

We already explained how sodium hyaluronate is one of the key hydrating ingredients in the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Serum, but panthenol (provitamin B5) will help to boost this hydration even further. This is because panthenol is a highly effective humectant. A humectant is a hygroscopic substance that has a molecular structure with several hydrophilic (water loving) groups. This structure allows humectants to attract and retain the moisture in the air nearby via absorption, drawing the water vapor into or beneath the surface.

Lastly, we’d like to explain why mica and titanium dioxide are included in the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Serum. Mica and titanium dioxide are both light-reflecting pigments. By reflecting light away from the skin, these ingredients blur imperfections and create the illusion of a smoother, softer, and more radiant skin tone. However, this effect is purely cosmetic and will disappear once you wash off the product.

Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum Reviews

In order to evaluate Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum reviews, we went to Amazon to view customer ratings and reviews. After just 45 customer reviews, this serum has received an average of 4.6 out of 5 stars. The majority of the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum reviews mention that it works well, especially for the price. The most thorough review we found says, “So impressed. I have big pores, textured skin, and hyperpigmentation. I have tried so many serums, lotions and moisturizers with either negative results or none at all. This product has lots of glycerin, sodium hyaluronate and antioxidants, with no parabens or phthalates!! I’m in love. Skin looks different after 2 days. Can wear morning and night. Thick texture like aloe but soaks right into the skin. It’s perfect.”

The only negative Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum review that we could find was from a customer who did not like the smell of this serum (even though it is fragrance free). And this customer actually experienced skin dryness after using the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

What Are Some Alternatives to Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum?

Overall, we think the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum is formulated well, but we’d like to point out that the key ingredients in this serum are pretty standard and can be found in many other skin care products. Plus, you might be concerned that there is very little information available about the brand that formulates this serum. They do not have their own website and, therefore, we were not able to find out much about them. What’s concerning about this is that we could not determine whether or not they test the Skin Nutritions Hyaluronic Acid Serum on animals. If you’re looking for a cruelty-free skin care brand that formulates products with innovative ingredients, we’d recommend Formulyst.

One of the most innovative Formulyst products is the Ultimate Youth Concentrate. The formula combines plant cells with a concentrated combination of five unique peptides that can stimulate the production of Epidermal Growth Factors (EGF). EGF is a protein naturally found in cells called fibroblasts, which are responsible for producing collagen. It is thought that EGF signals to fibroblasts to produce more collagen, which leads to cell growth, proliferation, and wound healing. As we age, our ability to produce EGF decreases, resulting in the key signs that contribute to aging skin. Applying products that increase EGF production, such as the Formulyst Ultimate Youth Concentrate, may increase skin strength and integrity.

If you want to incorporate hyaluronic acid into your skin care routine, we’d recommend Formulyst’s Super Hyaluronic Water Moisturizer. This lightweight formula includes sodium hyaluronate, which, like we explained above, attracts atmospheric moisture and transforms it into intense hydration for your skin. The formula also contains jojoba oil and apricot kernel oil to balance oil production. Both of these botanical oils are non-comedogenic, so you don’t have to worry about clogged pores or breakouts. Overall, Formulyst Super Hyaluronic Water Moisturizer can help the skin to feel softer and smoother while promoting a healthier, more youthful appearance.

There’s no need to compromise when it comes to finding skincare that is effective and safe. Carrot & Stick takes a tough love approach to skincare, perfectly balancing the power of plants with cutting edge science. Not only is Carrot & Stick good for your skin, it is also good for the environment as the formulas skip harmful chemicals commonly found in skin care products.

Hello! I have also looked high and low for the website of the distributor or manufacturer for skinnutritions. The website listed on the bottle does not lead anywhere. I really wish I could find a contact for the manufacturer!

Hi…I tried to find info on them also. I found the two serums and have had great success with them but was trying to find out if I should put moisturizer on over the serum. Is that what you do? Please let me know as I picked up several bottles after it worked so well and would like to continue to use but need advice. Do you use it under make-up? Would appreciate any help you could give me.

Can anyone find a website to the manufactures of Creme De Skin Nutritions products? I went to the website listed on a products box which is skinnutritions.com but it doesn’t exist. Also googled the company Skin Beauty International Inc. with no luck.
I sure wish they had a website that you could order their products from. I first came across some of their products at Family Dollar. It was a set of face cleanser, toner, and moisturizer that was on clearance so I stocked up some because I knew it was a close out item and wouldn’t be there anymore. I loved their toner.
Then I came across the Dark Spot Corrector roller and Retinol & Hyaluronic serums. I just found a new serum of theirs at the Dollar Tree which is a Vitamin C serum. I love all their products. Sucks when something is discontinued, which I am sure all these products will disappear soon because I see they are only sold at stores that sell mostly close out items.
