What Are The Key Ingredients in Prédiré Paris Skincare Products?

One thing we noticed about Prédiré Paris skincare products is that the formulations are all nearly identical. The formulations contain high concentrations of just a few key ingredients: argan oil, humectants, and emollients. Let’s take a closer look at these key ingredients and how they may affect your skin.

Nearly all Prédiré Paris skincare products contain a very high concentration of argan oil. Argan oil contains a rich supply of nutrients, such as fatty acids, tocopherols, polyphenols, and more.

The two main fatty acids found in argan oil are oleic acid (46– 48%) and linoleic acid (31–35%). Oleic acid is an omega-9 monounsaturated fatty acid that functions as a penetration enhancer by disturbing the skin barrier.

Linoleic acid is an omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA). Unfortunately, PUFAs are very unstable and prone to oxidation, which means they easily go rancid and can lead to the generation of free radicals that can damage our cells and lead to signs of aging. Thus, the use of high concentrations of argan oil in Prédiré Paris skincare products may be doing more harm than good.

Almost all Prédiré Paris skincare products contain high concentrations of humectants. A humectant is a hygroscopic substance that has a molecular structure with several hydrophilic (water-loving) groups that hydrogen bonds with water, essentially “grabbing” it and holding it on the skin. Humectants pull water from the dermis to the epidermis and stratum corneum. In addition, humectants can draw water vapor from the air to help moisturize the skin if the humidity is over 50 percent.

A few examples of humectants that you’ll find in Prédiré Paris skincare products include propylene glycol, butylene glycol, trehalose, betaine, glycerin, panthenol, and aloe vera extract.

Humectant products can be used by all skin types, but they are best for those with normal to slightly dry skin. Since humectants slow water from evaporating in the epidermis, they help to keep the skin hydrated. However, one drawback with humectant products is that they can sometimes pull too much moisture from the lower layers of skin when the air in your surrounding environment is very dry.

Humectants provide temporary anti-aging effects because the extra hydration is the extra volume, which effectively plumps out the skin and makes lines and wrinkles less noticeable. However, this effect is transient – as soon as the moisture content in the skin decreases, lines and wrinkles will return to normal size.

Unfortunately, some skincare brands (like Prédiré Paris) use high concentrations of humectants in products that are claimed to provide anti-aging effects without any other ingredients to correct signs of aging. You may think the product is working because your skin looks plump after use, but these effects are just from the humectant.

Lastly, keep in mind that many Prédiré Paris skincare products contain a synthetic fragrance blend. The use of synthetic fragrance ingredients can be a problem because the brand can use a proprietary blend of chemicals to create the fragrance, and they do not have to disclose which chemicals they use on the label. They are allowed to list this blend as “Fragrance (Parfum)” on the ingredient list.

A 2018 study by Women’s Voices for the Earth discovered that in over 3,000 chemicals reportedly used for fragrances, 1,242 were chemicals of concern – and that included at least 7 possible carcinogenic (cancer-causing) agents. Fragrance ingredients also have the potential to cause skin irritation and sensitivity.

Where to Buy Prédiré Paris Skincare Products?

Prédiré Paris skincare products are sold on the brand’s website, as well as several third-party online retailers, such as SkinStore.com, Walmart.com, Nordstormrack.com, and more.

How Much Do Prédiré Paris Products Cost?

Prédiré Paris skincare products are among the priciest on the market, costing even more than the most popular luxury skincare products, such as Crème de la Mer.

For example, the Prédiré Paris X8 Multi-Purpose LED PHOTON Skincare Mask Treatment retails for $10,000, and the Prédiré Paris gold mask (set of 12) is $3,500.

Some of the least expensive Prédiré Paris products are the bar soaps, which cost $35 for one bar of soap.

What is The Prédiré Paris Return Policy?

The Prédiré Paris return policy states, “Because of COVID-19 and overall health and safety, we will not be accepting any returns that have been opened or used. Products must be in their original condition in order to be accepted and processed. There is a 40% restocking fee for all products that are returned.”

However, directly underneath the Prédiré Paris return policy, there is a statement in bold, capital letters that states, “All sales are final (Unless approved by the customer service department)”.

Is Prédiré Paris Cruelty-Free?

Prédiré Paris does not have an animal testing policy on their website. Since the brand does not declare itself cruelty-free, we cannot assume it is.

Prédiré Paris Reviews

Prédiré Paris reviews on the brand’s website are overall very positive. However, they are almost too positive, with the products receiving four- and five-star reviews (nothing less). It is extremely uncommon for skincare products not to have at least a few one- and two-star reviews. Thus, it seems like this brand may only display positive reviews. Keeping that in mind, we’ll still share a few Prédiré Paris reviews.

One product that has many 5-star reviews is the Prédiré Paris gold mask. For example, one Prédiré Paris gold mask review says, “With regular usage, you are sure to get skin tightened conditions. So glad! Buying again!

The Prédiré Paris Red Wine Intensive Cream Face, Neck and Chest has five reviews on the website that include “The best product I have tested for a long time now” and “Very helpful to reduce wrinkles, fine lines and lessens the signs of aging. I can see the changes within this short period. It is super moisturizing. Very happy and recommend it to all!”

Our Verdict

Overall, we do not recommend Prédiré Paris skincare products for many reasons, but primarily because the products are extremely overpriced considering what you actually get in the product formulation.

Pros

  • Many positive Prédiré Paris reviews (although it seems like the brand only displays positive reviews)

Cons

  • Extremely high price point (e.g. Prédiré Paris Gold Mask is $3,500 USD). In our opinion, Prédiré Paris products aren’t worth the cost. One brand is Carrot & Stick, a clean skincare brand that perfectly balances the gentle nurturing of plants with the powerful results of innovative science.
  • Most product formulations consist of argan oil, humectants, and synthetic emollients
  • Many products contain synthetic fragrance blends
  • It is unknown if Prédiré Paris is cruelty-free
  • Some products contain parabens
  • Some products are packaged in jars (which means the delicate ingredients will degrade over time due to exposure to light and air)

What Are Some Alternatives to Prédiré Paris Skincare Products?

If you’re looking for skincare products to address the signs of aging, we recommend Carrot & Stick. Carrot & Stick maximizes the use of powerful ingredients and minimizes the use of superficial ones, resulting in advanced skincare solutions that help promote healthy, more youthful-looking skin.

I purchased the hot and cold wand which retails on their website for $3200. I purchased it for $69 at Saks off fifth Avenue. I was very curious to see what a product that is discounted over $3000 would look like. I found first of all that the product was duplicated on many Chinese products one with the same exact product design. The packaging was nothing out of the ordinary. This was disappointing because when you spend over $3200 for a retail product, you expect that the packaging alone is going to reflect that dollar amount and this product didn’t. The next thing was that if you’ve ever seen directions or information given about a product that comes from China, The wording is usually verbose, and does not reflect the way Americans speak. There will be many mistakes in the grammar. The first thing I found in the directions that were sent with my hot cold wand, was mistakes in the grammar. For $3200 there shouldn’t be a mistake. I also found on the box that these products come out of Tampa, Florida. There wasn’t another listing for a French or international address. After purchasing a few different hot and cold ones, I will say that this one is definitely superior and well-made. But it is definitely not worth $3200. You can buy a professional set up for an aesthetician With that kind of money that will far exceed this one machine. I think it is worth more than the $69 I spent, but it is definitely not worth $3200. I would definitely pay $100 at the most for it.

I purchased the skin care and eye creams. I do not see any results. Especially like the ones they showed me in the store. They have a clay in the product that momentarily fills in the wrinkles but doesn’t last (only til you buy). The costs are insane and they Don’t Tell you the No returns policy.

Just made a purchase last week and after reading the reviews I want to know how to return all of it!

Predire is for the most part a fake brand. The company Secret Collagen is the EXACT same thing. I’m pretty sure Predire just changes the packaging and obviously the price. They both even have the same address…… things that make you go hmmm ?

Best products for 65 years old with dry cheeks and some wrinkles.
I like French brands but no issue with any others.
    Thanks

I paid over $100. It was in a pretty dispenser that did not work. When it did take it apart, I was only able to obtain enough to get on the top of a cue tip one time. What a rip off of money and fraudulent sale. That one application had no affect that I could discern. DON’T BUY!

I bought 3 products based on the instant results from the moroccan gold in the injection dispenser. It does clog up but the product does tighten the area around the eyes and lasts for hours. The best of all the I tried.

I’ve been using several of the products for around 2 years. I’m very happy with the results. My skin is amazingly soft, and for 53 I look like I’m 35. I truly believe it’s because of these products. I purchased several items, masks, serums, night creams, night serums, make up remover, daily moisturizer etc. Every product has been great. No complaints. I love them all. Glad I purchased all of them. It was very expensive. But worth every penny.

I saw a number of their products today on Gilt for $29.99 u to maybe $79.99. Most $29.99. I was looking for reviews. If you like them and want to try others head over to their site. Thanks for the info.

I’ve tried some of their products and I’m satisfied but nothing miraculous. I’ve purchased the product at a substantial discount in RueLaLa. Would never pay full price which is ridiculous!

I have been using the Predire Skin Tightening Wrinkle Cream. It does work around the eyes to temporarily eliminate most crows lines and to dramatically reduce the appearance of undereye bags, but it will begin to peel off your face by the end of the day. It was sold to me in a .35 fl oz pen like applicator that gets clogged and does not work well, but if you take any “stuck” cream from the applicator’s head and warm it between your fingers, you can use it and not waste it. I found this product at the Flea Market on Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs/Naples area of Florida and they wanted $699.00 for this small amount. I talked them down to $99.00 and they claimed it would last for 125 applications. It does not last for even half that. I would love to know which of the ingredients within the cream are the ones that actually do the tightening and binding to your skin, therefore reducing lines. Here are the ingredients listed in order on the package: Water
    Sodium Silicate
    Glycerin
    Magnesium Aluminum Silicate
    Xanthan Gum
    Allantoin
    Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil
    Silica
    Beta Glucan
    Camellia Senensis Leaf Extract
    Aloe Barbedensis Leaf Extract
    Glucosamine HCI
    Algae Extract
    Yeast Extract
    Urea
    Fragrance
    Phenoxyethanol
    Ethylhexylglycerin
    DMDM Hydantoin
    Retinol
