The brand places an emphasis on organic, high quality, and food-grade ingredients, and all ingredients are used for a specific purpose to solve a specific need. Ultimately, this means you won’t find any fillers or unnecessary ingredients inside the Herbivore Botanicals line. In this review, we’ll discuss a few of the brand’s best selling products, key ingredients, Herbivore Botanicals reviews from real customers, and more.

What are the best selling Herbivore Botanicals products?

Herbivore Botanicals offers a pretty extensive line of skin care and beauty products, including everything from soaps to facial mists, masks to lip scrubs, and even skin care tools. In addition, the brand has several sets that include combinations of their most popular products. If you’re not sure where to get started with Herbivore Botanicals skincare, check out these best selling products:

Herbivore Botanicals Bakuchiol Serum
Herbivore Botanicals Bakuchiol Serum is a jelly-like, water-based anti-aging facial serum that can be used by all skin types, even those with sensitive skin. It is designed to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while sealing in hydration.

Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Face Oil
Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Face Oil is named after the Lapis Lazuli stone, a favorite stone of ancient Egypt, which is known for its deep blue color. However, the key ingredient in this facial oil that provides the blue color is blue tansy oil, which we will discuss in detail below. Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Face Oil is suitable for all skin, but those with oily and blemish-prone skin may benefit the most since this oil is designed to hydrate skin without clogging pores so that it can stop producing excess oil and find the balance it needs.

Herbivore Botanicals Blue Tansy Mask
The final best selling Herbivore Botanicals skincare product that we’ll discuss is the Blue Tansy Mask. This mask is best suited for oily and blemish-prone skin since it is formulated to gently clarify the skin while soothing the appearance of redness. It is recommended to spot test first if you have sensitive skin.

What are the key Herbivore Botanicals ingredients?

Herbivore Botanicals only uses ingredients of natural origin in their skincare products. You won’t find any synthetic ingredients, parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, phthalates, chemicals, fillers, mineral oils, or petroleum in Herbivore Botanicals skincare products. With that being said, let’s take a closer look at the key ingredients used in each of the best selling Herbivore Botanicals products we introduced above.

Herbivore Botanicals Bakuchiol Serum features bakuchiol as the star ingredient. Derived from the Ayurvedic Babchi plant, bakuchiol is a seed extract that provides many of the same benefits as retinol, including the ability to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and reduce the effects of sun damage (including uneven skin tone). One of the main benefits of bakuchiol is that it provides retinol-like effects without irritation.

Both the Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Face Oil and Blue Tansy Mask include Tanacetum annuum (blue tansy) oil as the key ingredient. Blue tansy is a flower in the chamomile family. The oil is extracted from the flower itself, and has antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Blue tansy oil is rich in azulene, which is a deep, inky-blue color naturally. Azulene helps to soothe dry irritated skin, reduce the appearance of redness, and balance oily skin.

Another beneficial ingredient in the Lapis Face Oil is kukui nut oil, a rich source of the polyunsaturated fatty acids linoleic and linolenic acid. Both of these fatty acids help to moisturize the skin by replenishing the skin’s natural barrier function. They leave the skin feeling silky rather than greasy. Additionally, linolenic acid has the ability to reduce inflammation, which is why kukui oil may be useful for those with acne, eczema, and other inflammatory conditions.

Additional key ingredients in the Herbivore Botanicals Blue Tansy Mask include natural exfoliating ingredients, such as white willow bark extract and fruit enzymes. White willow bark is a natural beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) high in anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial salicin to help clarify skin. The fruit enzymes in this mask are derived from pineapple and papaya fruit extracts. Pineapple contains the enzyme bromelain and papaya is rich in the enzyme papain. Both of these enzymes work on the surface of the skin to dissolve keratin, a protein found within skin that acts as a glue to keep skin cells together. By dissolving keratin, these enzymes help to exfoliate the top layer of dead skin cells, leaving skin looking brighter with a more even tone. Exfoliating the skin also helps to prevent acne since the build up of dead skin cells can clog pores.

Herbivore Rose Water Review

Rose water has been used for centuries to soothe, calm and hydrate the skin. But rose water has come a long way, and has come to the forefront of many cult favorite products and formulations. One of these is most definitely the Herbivore Rose Water Facial Mist. Herbivore has made a name for themselves by providing clean and green beauty approved formulations that bring together the best of what nature has to offer. This unique formula combines rose water with other botanical based ingredients including coconut water and hibiscus flower extract to hydrate and moisturize the skin while also delivering an instant boost. Facial sprays as a whole can be used throughout the day to refresh makeup as well as soothe tired, stressed or overheated skin. In order to get the most out of this product, the brand recommends spritzing your face a few times and then pressing the formula directly into the skin, in order to receive the maximum benefit from all of the kind to skin ingredients contained within.

Herbivore Lapis Oil Review

Inspired by the beautiful gemstone lapis lazuli, the Herbivore Lapis Oil features the same vibrate, deep blue hue of its namesake. But what causes this oil to take on such a striking shade? The Herbivore Lapis Oil is actually one of three facial oils from this well loved, green beauty brand. Each facial oil was carefully created in order to highlight some of the most beneficial plant oils and extracts to target specific skin concerns. In the case of the Lapis oil, the formula itself contains kukui nut oil, squalane, jojoba oil, jasmine sambac oil and blue tansy. Like its name would suggest, blue tansy is the ingredient that gives this entire formula its striking shade. But blue tansy has more to offer than just its pretty color. Blue tansy has actually been used as a potent skin rejuvenating ingredient for years. This extract is especially well known if its ability to minimize and actually alleviate signs of redness, irritation and blotchiness, in order to deliver smooth, happy and healthy looking skin. Along with the rest of the ingredients in this formula, this quick-absorbing oil helps to regulate the skin and deliver all of the necessary vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants that your skin needs in order to function optimally.

Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme Review

Herbivore Skincare has become a huge sensation in the world of skincare, primarily for their unique, naturally inspired formulas and incredibly instagrammable package. One the most talked about products from the line has been the Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme. After releasing several products, the founders behind Herbivore noticed a gap in the market that their customers were looking to fill. So they set about creating a lightweight, natural moisturizing cream that was truly free of all synthetics. The result was a hydrating, plumping and smoothing cream that blends into the skin and leaving a moisturized, dewy finish. The star ingredients behind this formula include rosewater, aloe water, and white tea. This combination of ingredients helps to soothe and calm the skin, while simultaneously minimizing the appearance of facial redness. All together, this moisturizer would be ideal for all skin types, especially those that are prone to redness or irritation from other products.
