What Are The Top 10 Best Embryolisse Skincare Products?

In addition to the popular Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, this brand offers moisturizers, cleansers, masks, serums, facial oils, and more. Here’s a breakdown of the top 10 best Embryolisse skincare products.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is a multipurpose formula that cleanses, hydrates, nourishes, and protects, leaving the skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized. It has a thick, whipped texture that glides onto the skin and absorbs quickly.

You can use this Embryolisse moisturizer alone to create a dewy glow, or use it to create a smooth base for makeup. It can also be used as a cleanser, makeup remover, beauty mask, after-sun moisturizer, aftershave care, and more — no wonder it’s a cult classic!

The key ingredients in Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré are emollients, including liquid paraffin, beeswax, and shea butter. These ingredients help to soften skin while also locking in moisture.

One problem with the original Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is the inclusion of a synthetic fragrance blend, which has the potential to cause skin sensitivity reactions.

Bottom Line: A thick cream for the face and body that can be used as a cleanser, makeup remover, makeup base, beauty mask, after-sun moisturizer, aftershave care, and more.

Embryolisse Lait Crème Sensitive

This hypoallergenic moisturizer shares the same properties as the Lait-Crème Concentré, in a fragrance-free formulation developed for sensitive and reactive skin.

Just like the original formula, emollients are the hero ingredients in Lait-Crème Sensitive. However, rather than using liquid paraffin as the main emollient in the formula, this Embryolisse moisturizer includes caprylic/capric triglyceride, which gives it a lighter texture.

The rest of the formula is almost identical, with ingredients like shea butter and beeswax to help soften skin and lock in moisture. And since it’s fragrance-free, Lait-Crème Sensitive is a great option for everyone in the family, including children.

Bottom Line: A hypoallergenic moisturizer with many of the same ingredients as the original Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré — without the added fragrance.

Embryolisse Huile de Beaute — Beauty Oil

We’re fans of Embryolisse’s Beauty Oil because it can be used for so many purposes. Apply a few drops during the day to give your complexion a dewy glow, or use it with your night cream to lock in moisture.

You can even apply a couple of drops to the ends of your hair to prevent frizz and split ends -— just remember that less is more when using oil on your hair!

The formula includes a blend of oils that help to nourish, soften, and moisturize the skin and hair, including apricot kernel oil, pomegranate seed oil, and shea oil.

The only thing we don’t love about this formula is the inclusion of fragrance, which has the potential to cause skin sensitivity reactions.

Bottom Line: A multifunctional beauty oil that uses apricot kernel oil, pomegranate seed oil, and shea oil to nourish, soften, and moisturize the skin and hair.

Embryolisse Hydra Mask

This rinse-off mask is formulated to hydrate, regenerate, and plump skin in just a few minutes. It has a very soft, silky texture due to the high concentrations of silicones and synthetic emollients like hydrogenated polyisobutene.

There’s also skin-plumping humectants like glycerin and beeswax that draw moisture into the skin, while emollients like sesame seed oil and sweet almond oil create a barrier to lock in moisture.

Of note, this is another Embryolisse skincare product that contains fragrance.

Bottom Line: A rinse-off mask that hydrates and softens skin with silicones, emollients, and humectants, but keep in mind that the formula includes fragrance.

Embryolisse Eau Active — Active Water

Facial mists can be a great addition to your skincare routine if you notice your skin starts to look dull and parched by midday. This mist by Embryolisse contains just one ingredient: water. We bet you’re probably wondering why anyone would pay $25 for a facial mist with just water, but according to the brand Active Water is more than just water.

Specifically, Active Water is a natural water that has been deoxygenated, purified, and then enriched with negative ions by an electrolytic process before being re-mineralized.

These unique characteristics give it cosmetic properties that help to limit dehydration, comfort skin, strengthen the barrier, and more. The result? Refreshed, soothed skin and a fresh, radiant complexion any time of the day.

Bottom Line: A facial mist that contains the brand’s proprietary water with negative ions and minerals to soothe, hydrate, and refresh the skin.

Embryolisse Filaderm Emulsion

Squalane is one of the hero ingredients in Embryolisse Filaderm Emulsion, a lightweight anti-aging facial moisturizer. The plant-derived squalane in this formula is super-light, non-greasy, and sinks into the skin fast, yet it helps the skin to instantly feel soft and moisturized.

Squalane works by replenishing the skin’s lipid barrier. A strong, intact barrier is important to keep moisture in and keep irritants out. When the barrier is weakened, skin conditions such as acne, rashes, sensitive skin, and even signs of aging can develop.

Replenishing the skin’s lipid barrier with products containing squalane — like Embryolisse Filaderm Emulsion — can help to prevent these problems.

The rest of the formula contains a few of the same ingredients as other best selling Embryolisse products, such as liquid paraffin, beeswax, and shea butter.

Bottom Line: A lightweight anti-aging facial moisturizer that combines squalane with several additional emollients to strengthen the skin’s barrier and promote smoother skin.

Embryolisse Lotion Micellaire

This micellar lotion helps to easily remove all traces of makeup from the face, eyes, and lips while gently cleansing the skin. It contains micelles in solution in cornflower, chamomile, and witch-hazel water, combined with glycerin to soften and hydrate the skin.

The brand claims that it’s suitable for even the most sensitive skin, but we have to disagree. Witch hazel is an ingredient that’s known to cause irritation for some people, and the formula includes fragrance — a major red flag for anyone with sensitive skin.

Bottom Line: A micellar lotion that removes makeup and cleanses the skin, but keep in mind that the formula includes fragrance.

Embryolisse Hydra Serum

Hydra Serum is an ultra-hydrating formula with humectants and moisture-magnet sodium hyaluronate.

Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt form of hyaluronic acid, a type of glycosaminoglycan (sugar molecule) that attracts moisture from the environment and draws that moisture into the skin’s upper layers.

Sodium hyaluronate not only improves skin hydration, it can also help to give you a more plump, youthful complexion because the extra moisture is extra volume.

The serum also contains Nymphaea alba flower extract, also known as white water lily. This extract contains many beneficial substances, such as tannins, alkaloids, saponins, and polysaccharides, which provide a strong nourishing, moisturizing, and regenerating effect on the skin.

Bottom Line: Hydra Serum combines sodium hyaluronate with white water lily to nourish, moisturize, and regenerate skin.

Embryolisse Creme Exfoliante — Exfoliating Cream

Embryolisse Exfoliating Cream features ideally sized microspheres that gently exfoliate dead skin in order to reveal a smooth and radiant complexion. The formula also includes several hydrating ingredients, such as glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol, and allantoin.

In addition to moisturizing skin, allantoin functions as a keratolytic, meaning it has the ability to smooth skin through exfoliation of the top layer of dead skin cells. Allantoin can help to increase skin smoothness, as well as promote cell proliferation and longevity.

Bottom Line: An exfoliating cream with microspheres and allantoin, two ingredients that help to remove dead skin cells in order to reveal a smooth and radiant complexion.

Embryolisse Eclat du Regard — Radiant Eye

Embryolisse Radiant Eye Stick is a smoothing eye stick treatment that’s formulated to moisturize while helping camouflage dark circles and reduce swelling.

The formula is very simple with just a few humectants, including glycerin, xylitylglucoside, and anhydroxylitol. These ingredients help to draw moisture into the skin. This not only improves hydration, but also plumps the skin, thereby reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

And here’s a tip if you have really puffy eyes: store this eye stick in the refrigerator for a stronger cooling effect!

Bottom Line: An eye stick treatment that’s formulated to moisturize while helping camouflage dark circles and reduce swelling.

Is Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré Right For You?

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is beloved by makeup artists, influencers, and even celebrities, but is it right for you? Here’s a summary of the most important factors to consider before purchasing this moisturizer:

  • Key ingredients? Liquid Paraffin, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Beeswax, and Shea Butter
  • Skin type? All
  • Texture? Thick, whipped
  • Fragrance? Yes
  • Cruelty free? Yes
  • Cost? $28 USD for 2.54 fl oz

What Are The Key Ingredients in Embryolisse Skincare Products?

We noticed that the ingredients used throughout the Embryolisse skincare collection fall into just a few categories, which include:

  • Emollients (i.e. liquid paraffin, beeswax, shea butter, etc.)
  • Humectants (i.e. glycerin, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, etc.)
  • Silicones (i.e. cyclopentasiloxane)
  • Soothing botanical extracts (i.e. squalane, white lily, etc.)

This brand really focuses on adding hydration back to the skin, but we noticed they don’t use many ingredients that would help to stimulate collagen or increase cellular renewal, such as peptides, retinoids, and alpha hydroxy acids. Using anti-aging skincare products with these ingredients will really help to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Also, keep in mind that nearly all Embryolisse skincare products contain synthetic fragrance ingredients.

The use of synthetic fragrance ingredients can be a problem because the brand can use a proprietary blend of chemicals to create the fragrance. On average, this consists of 30 to 50 chemicals (but it can have as much as 200 components).

Want to know the worst part? The brand does not have to disclose which chemicals they use on the label. They are allowed to list this blend as “Fragrance (Parfum)” on the ingredient list.

Furthermore, a 2018 study by Women’s Voices for the Earth discovered that in over 3,000 chemicals reportedly used for fragrances, 1,242 were chemicals of concern – and that included at least 7 possible carcinogenic (cancer-causing) agents.

Fragrance ingredients also have the potential to cause skin irritation and sensitivity.

How Much Do Embryolisse Skincare Products Cost?

Embryolisse skincare products are pretty affordable, for example, Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré costs $28 USD for 2.54 fl oz.

Where to Buy Embryolisse Skincare Products?

Embryolisse skincare products are sold on the brand’s website, as well as several third party online retailers such as Dermstore, Amazon, Walmart, and more.

Is Embryolisse Cruelty Free?

Embryolisse is cruelty-free. They do not test finished products or ingredients on animals, and neither do their suppliers or any third-parties. In addition, Embryolisse does not sell their products where animal testing is required by law.

Is Embryolisse Vegan?

Embryolisse is not a brand that is 100% vegan, but they do offer some vegan-friendly products.

Our Verdict

Overall, we like that the Embryolisse formulations are simple and multifunctional, but we would recommend avoiding the products that contain fragrance.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Simple formulations
  • Many positive Embryolisse reviews
  • Embryolisse is cruelty-free

Cons

  • Almost all Embryolisse skincare products contain fragrance
