01.19.23DISCLAIMER

Bellame is a beauty brand founded by Melissa Thompson and her partner Scott Thompson, who together have 45 years of combined expertise in the beauty and digital marketing business. Bellame combines luxury with science; the brand has developed several patented technologies and ingredients, all in high-end packaging. Furthermore, Bellame is a MLM (multi level marketing) structured company, which means you can purchase Bellame Skin Care products through a consultant and even join the business if you really love the products.

What’s Inside Bellame Skin Care?

Bellame highlights a few key ingredients that can be found in several of their formulations. These ingredients include the following:

Vitamin C
The vitamin C ester that is used in Bellame skin care products is sodium ascorbyl phosphate.

Milk peptide complex
Bellame’s Milk Peptide Complex is said to have a regenerative effect, delivering a significant increase in firmness, smoothness, and even skin thickness.

Baobab oil
Baobab oil is derived from the nutrient-dense fruit of “The Tree of Life” native to Africa, Australia, and Madagascar. It is rich in vitamins A, D, and E and omega fatty acids. Baobab oil has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and is used in Bellame skin care products as a moisturizer and cell-rejuvenator.

High-powered hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is the key molecule involved in maintaining the skin’s moisture levels. In fact, it is able to hold more water than any other natural substance—up to 1,000 times its weight in water!

This is possible because hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan (GAG), a long polysaccharide (sugar molecule) composed of disaccharides called amino sugars and uronic acid. GAGs are negatively charged and thus tend to attract positively charged sodium and potassium ions. In turn, this causes the GAGs to absorb and hold a large amount of water.

According to Bellame, their “high-powered hyaluronic acid” boasts 50 times the power of regular hyaluronic acid and five times more hydration, even after 24 hours. Ultimately, this will plump, volumize, and moisturize the skin.

Malachite
Malachite is an emerald-colored gemstone that was used as eyeshadow by ancient Egyptians over five thousand years ago. Malachite contains mineral antioxidants that limit oxidative damage caused by free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.

Malachite is also rich in copper, which functions as an essential coenzyme in the production of collagen. The malachite in Bellame skin care products will help block inflammation, firm skin, and repair sun damage.

Marine collagen
Derived from seaweed, Bellame’s marine collagen is packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes. It is said to function as both an oil-regulator and impurity detoxifier.

Inflacin
Inflacin is a patented, proprietary molecule developed by Bellame. It is said to block the negative effects of inflammation, a leading cause of aging.

By short-circuiting the formation of free radicals triggered by too much sun exposure, pollution, and lifestyle issues like stress and poor nutrition, Inflacin provides a natural shield against skin damage.

Soluxomes
Soluxomes is a patented delivery method that enables Bellame to encapsulate all of their ingredients to ensure they’re absorbed subdermally.

According to Bellame, this delivery method also means that the quantity of ingredients that passes the stratum corneum is higher, and stays in the epidermis and dermis longer. By boosting the interaction between ingredients and the skin, ingredients are absorbed better.

What are the best selling Bellame Skin Care products?

The best selling Bellame Skin care products can be found in the Acqua Lumiere Regimen, which includes the Hydrating Cleanser, Hydrating Serum, Hydrating Eye Cream, and Hydrating Moisturizer.

Bellame Hydrating Cleanser is a European-style cream cleanser that is said to lift away impurities and remove makeup while being gentle enough to smooth and condition. Bellame recommends applying 1 to 2 pumps directly onto dry skin and gently massaging over entire face for one minute before washing off with a damp, warm washcloth. Bellame Hydrating Cleanser also doubles as a mask. For a hydrating mini-facial, tap it into your skin to “emulsify,” then relax for 15 to 20 minutes.

Bellame Hydrating Serum is a lightweight facial serum that is said to absorb immediately and fight against lines, wrinkles, and discoloration. This serum can be used both in the morning and at night, but should be followed with the Hydrating Eye Cream and Hydrating Moisturizer.

Bellame Hydrating Eye Cream is a silky, hydrating eye cream that is said to soften fine lines (aka ‘crows’ feet), as well as reduce puffiness and dark circles.

The Hydrating Moisturizer is the final step in the Bellame Skin Care routine. This lightweight moisturizer is said to penetrate deeply, targeting fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of age (spots, dullness, uneven tone). Bellame claims that this moisturizer will adjust to your skin’s needs over time because it doesn’t just rest on top as a barrier like most moisturizers.

Bellame boasts about “The Acqua Lumiere Experience” aka the scent of their products, which is said to be a sophisticated and understated rose fragrance with citrus notes and accents of muguet in a base of amber and musk. However, we’d like to point out that fragrance is not skin care. Obviously, consumers appreciate when products smell pleasant, however, fragrance ingredients (both natural and synthetic) are well known to cause skin irritation and damage. You see, fragrance ingredients impart scent through a volatile reaction, and this natural reaction almost always causes a sensitizing reaction on skin. Even if you don’t have a full blown reaction to the fragrance ingredients, the damage may still be occurring every day. Ultimately, this can cause mild problems for your skin in the short term and worse problems in the long term.

Bellame Skin Care reviews

Unfortunately, there are no Bellame Skin Care reviews on the brand’s website.

It also might be difficult for consumers to find unbiased Bellame Skin Care reviews on the internet since this is a direct-to-consumer business model, and therefore the company’s beauty consultants will likely only have positive Bellame Skin Care reviews.

I ordered 2 months ago and have not received my product yet called customer service many many times just to get a recording saying that they’ll call me back as soon as a representative is available which for days I’ve been calling and no representative has ever called me back yet. I’m thinking that this is a scam do not buy them.
