If you’re looking to simplify your skincare routine, you might want to consider using a CC cream. Why? CC cream, or Color Correcting cream, combines the benefits of a tinted moisturizer, sunscreen, and color corrector in one.

One of the most buzzed-about CC creams right now is Perbelle CC Cream, which is designed to even out skin tone, camouflage imperfections, and provide a natural-looking finish. With built-in sun protection and a shade that adjusts itself to your skin tone, this CC cream sounds very promising.

But is Perbelle CC Cream right for you? To help you decide, we’ll give you all the details on the key ingredients in this formula, as well as the research that supports (or doesn’t support) their use in skin care. We’ll also share some Perbelle CC Cream reviews so that you can get an idea of what customers really think of this product.

Is Perbelle CC Cream Right For You?

Before we get into the details, here’s the TL;DR if you just want to know whether or not Perbelle CC Cream is right for you.

  • Key ingredients? Titanium Dioxide, Octinoxate, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid
  • Skin type? All
  • Texture? Silky cream
  • Fragrance? Yes
  • Cruelty free? Yes
  • Cost? $44 USD

What Are The Key Ingredients in Perbelle CC Cream?

In order to determine how well Perbelle CC Cream performs, we’ll have to evaluate the key ingredients in this formula. Let’s get started.

Titanium Dioxide

Perbelle CC Cream provides broad spectrum SPF 43 protection thanks to a combination of mineral and chemical sunscreen ingredients.

One of those ingredients is titanium dioxide. It’s a mineral sunscreen, also known as a physical sunscreen, that protects your skin by using physical UV filters to block or deflect UV light.

Physical sunscreens tend to be better tolerated by most skin types because they are not absorbed into the skin. Thus, they are especially useful for those with heat sensitive skin (i.e. rosacea patients) as well as those with acne-prone skin as they are typically less pore-clogging.

However, physical sunscreens are thicker than chemical sunscreens and can often leave a white cast after application.

Based on the Perbelle CC Cream reviews, some customers noticed a white cast after application, but the majority of customers thought that this CC cream blended well with their skin tone.

Octinoxate (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate)

The second ingredient on the Perbelle CC Cream ingredient list is ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, also known as octinoxate.

Octinoxate is the oldest and most commonly used UVB-absorbing agent in sunscreen. UVB rays are the type that cause sunburn, and UVA rays are the type that prematurely age your skin. Both types of rays can cause skin cancer.

While octinoxate does provide some protection against UVA rays, it does not protect against the entire range of UVA wavelengths. But remember that the formula also contains titanium oxide, which blocks both UVA and UVB rays.

One problem with octinoxate is that it’s absorbed into the body after one use, according to studies published by the FDA.

Why is that a problem? Well, according to the EWG, octinoxate is a hormone disruptor and can also cause allergic reactions after exposure to ultraviolet light. Due to this, we cannot recommend Perbelle CC Cream.

Niacinamide

Did you know that niacinamide is a B-vitamin derivative? It’s the amide form of vitamin B3 (niacin).

Niacinamide is a multi-tasking skincare ingredient, and one of the benefits it offers is brightening the complexion. It works by inhibiting melanosome transfer from melanocytes (melanin producing cells) to keratinocytes (skin cells in the epidermis).

In a study published in the British Journal of Dermatology, niacinamide was found to significantly decrease hyperpigmentation and increase skin lightness compared with vehicle alone after 4 weeks of use.

Niacinamide also functions as a potent antioxidant. Antioxidants help the skin combat free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.

Another benefit of niacinamide is its ability to help with acne because of its antimicrobial and sebostatic effects, meaning it can help protect against the bacteria that cause acne while also helping to reduce oil production.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan (GAG), a long polysaccharide (sugar molecule) that’s able to absorb and hold a large amount of water — up to 1,000 times its weight!

In fact, according to the journal Dermato Endocrinology, hyaluronic acid is the key molecule involved in skin moisture.

Hyaluronic acid not only helps to keep your skin hydrated, but also promotes a more youthful appearance. Why? Because the extra moisture is extra volume, resulting in a plump, youthful complexion.

If you are concerned about aging skin and looking for professional grade products that are also clean,  Carrot & Stick The Repair Serum. It contains a peptide complex that includes hyaluronic acid to target multiple signs of aging.

How to Use Perbelle CC Cream?

Apply a smooth even layer to clean and dry skin. You can repeat the action based on your coverage needs. CC Cream can be applied directly or after a moisturizer and can be used as a Make Up Base or Foundation depending on personal preference.

I don’t think Perbelle is made of “synthetic chemicals.” I saws the 2 adverse reviews here, and obviously the OP’s were using WAYYYYY too much product! Just a tiny dot here and there does the entire job! Let is spread! I’m not at all a makeup person, but wanted to try something to smooth out the red flush in my Scottish skin. Perbelle is superb, really lovely. I’d encourage yo to try it.

I lost my eyebrows and eyelashes to daily use of synthetic chemical based sunscreen. it was over a year before I realized what was happening. It is for this reason I will shy away from Parbelle.
