12.14.22DISCLAIMER

Saturday Skin was designed to make your skin feel like you do on a Saturday — happy, healthy, and well-rested. But how can you make everyday a good skin day? According to the brand, there are a few key ingredients that can help you support and stabilize your skin in order to reveal calm, confident, clear skin. So, today we’re looking into the brand to tell you a bit about their philosophy, their products, and the formulas behind them.

The story behind Saturday Skin

Saturday Skin is one of the brands that was created by Korean-based wellness center CHAUM. Saturday Skin was inspired by some of the same principles that are at the core of CHAUM’s approach. They blend together traditional medicine with up-and-coming research to create formulas that pull from the best of both worlds. Looking at Saturday Skin specifically, all of their products feature the same, patented peptide blend: Cha-7 es Complex. This innovative complex brings together natural ingredients and extensive research to create the ideal blend for that well-rested glow.

What are the best selling Saturday Skin products?

Saturday Skin offers a full range of skin care products, with everything from cleansers to moisturizers to essences and treatment products. Their routine follows a similar approach to that of the ten step Korean skin care routine, minus the extensive number of steps. The focus is on using hydrating and gentle ingredients to soothe and calm the skin.

The Saturday Skin core routine begins with the Rise + Shine Cleanser. This gentle cream cleanser with apple and peach extracts is designed to clean and refresh the skin without stripping or drying. Rise + Shine Cleanser is most suited for those who struggle with dryness, sensitivity and irritation, as well as dullness.

Next up, Saturday Skin offers two beauty essences that help to revive tired skin, while lightly hydrating to bring back that dewy glow. The Daily Dew Essence Mist is the product that first put Saturday Skin on the map. This product is formulated with their signature peptide complex, as well as kiwi and grape extracts. The Press Pause Essence is a concentrated, moisturizing beauty essence that is infused with pomegranate extract to boost skin’s hydration.

Rounding out their regular routine, Saturday Skin offers a number of moisturizing options depending on your needs and skin types. Their first moisturizer to hit the market was the FeatherWeight Daily Moisturizing Cream, which is a slightly thicker gel-cream, making it a great choice for those with drier skin types. The Waterfall Glacier Water Cream is a lighter, more gel-like formula that works well for all skin types, especially those who often have difficulty finding moisturizers that hydrate without feeling heavy or clogging pores.

What are the key Saturday Skin ingredients?

The entire range from Saturday Skin was inspired by the power of peptides. Their unique peptide complex, Cha-7 es Complex, is designed to boost your skin’s radiance and improve the overall appearance of your skin. But what makes their approach to peptides unique?

Peptides have been used in anti-aging skincare products for many years now. Unlike retinoids and other more aggressive anti-aging actives, peptides are easy to incorporate into your routine. There is a very low chance for irritation, purging, or dryness, all of which are common when first incorporating retinoids. Additionally, peptides can easily be combined with other anti-aging ingredients, so you can easily use peptide products to boost the efficacy of your existing skincare routine.

Looking at the peptide complex that is used in the Saturday Skin products specifically, the Cha-7 es Complex contains 10 different amino acid chains that can act as a base for vital proteins that your skin needs to perform at it’s best. This amino acid chains include sh-oligopeptide-1, sh-polypeptide-1, sh-oligopeptide-2, sh-polypeptide-22, sh-polypeptide-45, sh-polypeptide-8 and sh-polypeptide-9. All of these peptides work together to continuously support your skin and gradually improve its appearance overtime. While you won’t notice a difference overnight with these ingredients, incorporating a peptide serum or essence into your daily skincare routine can make a surprisingly significant difference in the look of your skin overtime.

While peptides are included in every single product from this range, there are a number of interesting and beneficial ingredients that are unique to one or two formulations. For example, the FeatherWeight Daily Moisturizing Cream contains hydrolyzed avocado protein, apple fruit extract and peach fruit extract. Hydrolyzed avocado protein helps to strengthen your skin’s natural moisture barrier, which is essential for maintaining hydrated, healthy skin. Apple and peach fruit extracts help to hydrate, brighten and smooth the skin while also providing antioxidant protection. Other products, like the Freeze Frame Beauty Essence, contain pomegranate extract and squalane to hydrate, moisturize, and support your skin’s overall health.

Where is Saturday Skin sold?

Saturday Skin is sold on the brand’s website, as well as third party online sellers like Sephora, Peachy & Lily, Amazon, and more.

What is the Saturday Skin return policy?

The Saturday Skin return policy states, “Only merchandise purchased from saturdayskin.com can be returned within 30 days of purchase. The merchandise must be in the original packaging unopened and unused for returns. If the merchandise was defective or damaged during shipment, you will receive a replacement. If a replacement is unavailable, you will receive a refund for the returned item via the original method of payment. Please note return shipping fees are at the customer’s expense and are non-refundable.”

I have been using Saturday Skin products for at least a year and a half. I love these products and I get lots of compliments about my skin. Even from a woman who was passing out a moisturizer asked what I used and she said my skin looked great. I hope it is always available.

    Saturday Skin Eye Cream Review

As an alternative to the traditional, rich, thick eye cream, Saturday Skin developed a lightweight, almost serum like eye cream. The formula behind this product was designed to illuminate and refresh tired or dull looking under eyes while also improving skin’s moisture levels, texture and firmness. The key ingredients that do quite a bit of the heavy lifting in this formula include date seed extract, avocado protein and hyaluronic acid. Date seed extract is the star of the show in this formula, as it is responsible for the majority of the brightening and increased luminosity that this product advertises. This ingredient is also high in antioxidants, which help to protect the skin against environmental aggressors like pollution, stress and free radicals. Hyaluronic acid on the other hand is a powerful humectant that is capable of drawing up to 1000 times its weight in water. This allows the formula to plump and hydrate the skin without adding any additional weight to the final product.
