Skin Care Reviews

DERMAdoctor is a website created by a board certified dermatologist, Dr. Audrey Kunin.  In a way, the DERMAdoctor website is an outgrowth of Dr. Kunin’s philosophy on skin care, where she is able to provide information on all kinds of skin conditions and remedies. The site focuses mainly on over the counter skin care products developed by Dr. Kunin for various skin conditions, as well as skin care products to reduce the effects of aging, such as wrinkles, crow’s feet, and skin resurfacing. DERMAdoctor is also chock full of articles and blog posts written by Dr. Kunin about various skin conditions and skin care tips. The website has won the “Smart Shopper’s Guide” award from In Style Magazine.  The “Best of the Web” award was garnered to her by U.S. News and World Report.

DERMAdoctor Skin CareProducts

The DERMAdoctor website has many different types of skin care products for all kinds of skin conditions. For example, there are products devoted to acne treatment, such as cleansers, blackhead treatment gels, and several kinds of serums. There is also a relatively comprehensive selection of products for common conditions like Rosacea, Eczema, and treatments for dry skin.

It’s important to point out that the only carries Dr. Kunin’s products. It’s very specialized and not the same type of online store like or, which carry a large assortment of skin care products from many different brands. Therefore, DERMAdoctor would be a good destination spot if you were looking to address specific problems, and to learn more about treatment and prevention of skin issues.

What’s very useful about the DERMAdoctor website layout is that you can browse skin care products by the type of product you need, such as exfoliants or hair minimizers, as well as by the type of condition, like skin discoloration or enlarged pores. This makes looking for products easier, especially since DERMAdoctor only carries proprietary skin care products that you may not yet be familiar with. When you find a skin care product that looks interesting, you can also read reviews from other people who have bought it. The reviews are really helpful because they aren’t just one overall number, but are broken down into parts: Quality, Price, and Value. This can be very helpful in helping you figure out which DERMAdoctor product could be a good solution for you, especially if you’re not familiar with the brand at all.

However, be prepared to spend a little more on skin care than you usually would. Because of their proprietary nature and unique brand, DERMAdoctor skin products are on the pricey side. For example, a 4oz arm and leg moisturizer costs $38, while a 7oz face cleanser is $26, so be prepared to open your wallet pretty wide. On the upside, you do get 3 free samples with every order, and free shipping if you use the DERMAdoctor coupon code “FREESHIP”.

DERMAdoctor Media Attention

In addition to running her website and creating DERMAdoctor skin care products, Dr. Kunin is a media personality and an author who has been featured in popular magazines, such as US News and In Style Magazine. Another magazine promotion of DERMAdoctor products was conducted by Women’s Health.  The magazine featured Wrinkle Revenge 1.  This product is a facial cleanser that is enhanced by glyolic acid.

The DERMAdoctor products have also been featured on television. TV show The Doctors promoted a set of products from Dr. Kunin’s line as Valentine’s Day gifts. The Today Show promoted the sunscreen that works with the sun to visualize UV light that simulates collagen and elastins.

DERMAdoctor Product Delivery

Usually, items purchased on the DERMAdoctor website are shipped using the FedEx carrier.  A checkout option of next day, two day, or three day delivery is available, which is great if you’re in a rush. If you’re using a P.O. Box address, your order will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service.

All domestic orders over $50 are usually shipped free with three day delivery.  When orders are below $50, a flat rate of $5.49 is charged, regardless of the number of items in the order. However, you can use the DERMAdoctor coupon coder “FREESHIP” to receive free shipping on orders of any size. Canada shipments have a $7.95 fee and international orders cost $20.95.

Dermadoctor DD Eye Cream Review

Dermadoctor Dermatologically Defining (DD) Eye Radiance Cream SPF 30 is a fragrance free daytime eye cream that is said to instantly illuminate, blur, brighten, smooth, hydrate, defend, and protect your delicate eye area with a natural looking radiant finish. This eye cream contains 3% titanium dioxide and 7% zinc oxide as active mineral sunscreen ingredients. Both ingredients are classified as physical sunscreens, which means they work by blocking or deflecting UV light, rather than being absorbed by the skin. Mineral sunscreens are best for around the eye area because the delicate skin around the eyes can become sensitized from synthetic chemical sunscreen actives. Titanium dioxide offers broad spectrum protection, which means it can block both UVA and UVB rays.

Dermadoctor DD Eye Cream contains many beneficial non-fragrant plant-based emollients, including argan oil, rice bran, coconut oil, and jojoba esters. These ingredients improve skin hydration and softness, as well as provide antioxidant effects. Fortunately, the Dermadoctor DD Eye Cream is packaged appropriately in an opaque squeeze tube to protect these delicate antioxidant ingredients from becoming unstable due to light and air exposure. Dermadoctor DD Eye Cream also includes caffeine, a natural stimulant and antioxidant. Applying caffeine to the skin causes vasoconstriction (constriction of the blood vessels), which helps to reduce the amount of blood that accumulates under the eyes (a major factor that contributes to dark circles). Additionally, vasoconstriction can firm the skin due to the removal of excess fluids and possible stimulation of the lymphatic drainage system. Lastly, Dermadoctor DD Eye Cream includes the mineral pigment mica, which reflects light away from the face, creating the illusion of a smoother, softer, and more radiant skin tone.

I have been shopping on Dermadoctor for several years now. I recently started using Dermadoctor Wrinkle Revenge and It is creamy and perfect for dry mature skin. I have to admit this is a good product for dry skin. Usually the product does not hydrate my skin enough. I have also purchased other brands from Dermadoctor and very happy with the service I have received from them. The products are very nicely packaged and the customer service is awesome.

I am 28, and have very sensitive skin. My skin reacts to most products. The slightest fragrance will cause my skin to become weak. I started using Dermadoctor KP Duty moisturizer as read positive reviews about this product. It’s great. Probably the best moisturizer for sensitive skin. I have been searching for a product like this for many years now.
