When it comes to skincare, one of the most difficult items to incorporate into a skincare routine for sensitive skin, is a moisturizer. Every skin type, regardless of your concerns and personal skin struggles, needs a good moisturizer. But these products, if not well formulated for your skin, can do just as much harm as they do good. This is where products like the Genes Vitamin E Creme Swiss Collagen Complex come into play. Formulated specifically for those with sensitive, dry skin, this product is designed to deeply hydrate, moisturize and soothe irritated skin.
But what exactly makes this cream so effective? Today we’ll be looking at the formula behind this bestselling product to let you know exactly whether or not this product is worth picking up. So without further adieu, let’s get started!
Who is the Genes Vitamin E Cream For?
The Genes Vitamin E Cream was designed specifically for those with extremely dry, irritated skin. Because of this, the ingredients list is loaded with nourishing oils, butters and safe synthetic ingredients to increase moisture. Because of this, it might prove to be too much for those with oily, sensitive or clog-prone skin types.
Conditioning Cream
The Genes Vitamin E Cream is designed to function as a rich cream for seriously dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin. When the skin comes up against stressors, whether it’s from sun damage, environmental factors or over exfoliation, the natural moisture barrier within the skin can become damaged. This can lead to dry, dehydrated skin, increased irritation and sensitivity, flaking, tightness and increased appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our skin’s moisture barrier, when properly functioning, helps to prevent transepidermal water loss and retain the necessary moisture and hydration that our skin needs. Because of this, it’s vital that you take extra care to make sure your moisture barrier is performing optimally. But how can you be sure?
If you suspect that your skin barrier has been damaged or compromised, the first thing that you need to do is strip back your skincare routine to only include gentle cleansers and comforting moisturizers, which is exactly where the Genes Vitamin E Cream comes into play. This cream contains emollients as well as occlusives to help hydrate and moisturizer while also locking in that hydration with an occlusive. This will help to restore your skin’s moisture barrier, as well as soothe any irritation that has occurred during this time. The Genes Vitamin E Creme uses nourishing oils, shea butter and other moisturizing and hydrating agents to serve as an S.O.S. to your skin, making it an excellent addition to your routine whenever you need a pick me up.
Formula Focus
The formula behind the Genes Vitamin E Creme is incredibly rich, and in designed specifically for those with extremely dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin. Because of this, the formula for this product features incredibly dense oils, butters and other hydrators to boost the moisture levels in your skin.
The base of this products is a blend of water, safflower oil, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate and vitamin E. Safflower oil is a great option for almost any skin type, as it is high in Linoleic acid and is unlikely to clog your pores. Glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate serve as emollients and surfactants to make the product easier to work with and apply to the skin.
Following the base of this formula is a number of beneficial oils and butters which include sesame oil, mango seed oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, macadamia nut oil and brazil nut oil. All of these offer some incredibly nourishing benefits and can be helpful for those who struggle with dry, parched, winter skin. But while these ingredients are fantastic, they can be a little bit difficult for some. Experiences with plant oils will vary the greatest from person to person, so what works for someone else may backfire completely on you.
Some of these ingredients, like macadamia nut oil for example, have fairly high comedogenic ratings, so if you are prone to clogged pores, you may want to look some something a bit lighter.

My brother had throat cancer in 2017. The radiation treatments had the skin on his neck burned. His neck had hugh balls of skin all over. It was so painful for him. A lady at the cancer center told us about Gene’s. You could only find it at Sam’s back then. I paid less than 40’00. My brothers skin became normal. It was a miracle. I would’ve never believed it. Ive been looking for it and whatever I find is so ridiculously priced. I simply can’t afford it. And now it looks like it’s not even made anymore.. So Sad…
