In today’s fast-paced world, the search for sustained energy often leads to reliance on coffee or energy drinks. However, these quick fixes often bring along unwanted side effects like jitteriness and headaches.

Recognizing this challenge, the creators of Ryze Superfoods introduced Ryze Mushroom Coffee, a unique coffee blend infused with adaptogenic mushrooms.

With its promise of smoother energy and enhanced focus, Ryze Mushroom Coffee offers a compelling alternative to traditional coffee and energy drinks.

But is Ryze Mushroom Coffee right for you? To help you decide, we’ll give you all the details on the ingredients in this formula, as well as the research that supports their benefits.

We’ll also share some Ryze Mushroom Coffee reviews from real customers so you can get their take on the taste and the results of this product.

What Are The Ryze Mushroom Coffee Ingredients?

A cup of Ryze Mushroom Coffee only contains about 48 mg of caffeine, less than half the amount that’s in a regular cup of coffee. The blend of ingredients consists of organic arabica coffee, organic MCT oil, organic coconut milk, and, most importantly, the RYZE Organic Mushroom Blend.

We noticed that the mushroom blend is a proprietary blend. This means that the brand lists the total weight of the blend per serving (in this case, 2000 mg), however, they do not list the specific proportions of each mushroom.

This can be problematic because there’s no way of knowing that the mushrooms are used in adequate dosages. Keep this in mind as we discuss the benefits of each mushroom found inside the blend.

Cordyceps

Cordyceps is a type of mushroom that has been shown in recent literature to enhance cellular energy in the form of ATP, which is essential for delivering energy to the muscles. This could enhance your body’s oxygen utilization, particularly during physical activity.

Cordyceps also helps give the immune system a boost, thereby helping the body to fight off bacteria and viruses that cause illnesses.

Lion’s Mane

Lion’s Mane mushroom contains unique compounds called hericenones and erinacines, which are linked to improved focus and mood enhancement.

Additionally, lion’s mane may enhance brain function and memory, as evidenced by a 2019 clinical study published in the journal Nutrients. The study demonstrated improved cognitive function in mice given Lion’s Mane supplementation.

In another four-week study comparing Lion’s Mane to a placebo, participants receiving Lion’s Mane reported improved mood and significantly reduced levels of irritability, anxiousness, and depression compared to those in the placebo group.

Reishi

Reishi mushrooms are most well known for their ability to help boost immune function by enhancing the activity of white blood cells.

Another benefit of reishi mushrooms is their adaptogenic properties, which means they can help the body better cope with stress and promote overall well-being and vitality.

Typical doses of dried reishi mushroom extract range from about 1.5 to 9 grams a day.

Since the total weight of all the mushrooms in Ryze Mushroom Coffee is only 2,000 mg (2 g), there is significantly less reishi in this blend than the typical recommended dosage (although we don’t know the exact amount since it’s a proprietary blend).

Shiitake

Shiitake mushrooms contain a rich nutrient profile, including all eight essential amino acids, the spectrum of B vitamins, and essential minerals such as selenium, zinc, manganese, and copper. All of these nutrients contribute to shiitake’s health benefits, including immune-boosting properties.

Turkey Tail

Turkey tail mushroom is well known for its wide array of antioxidants, including phenols and flavonoids.

Antioxidants are substances that protect the cells in your body from the damaging effects of free radicals. Free radicals can come from external sources (pollution, chemicals, etc.) or internal sources (e.g. byproducts of metabolic oxidation). Too many free radicals can lead to damaged cells, signs of aging (i.e. wrinkles), chronic diseases, and even cancer.

While our bodies naturally produce antioxidants to combat these free radicals, we also need to obtain antioxidants from our diet. That’s why antioxidants, such as those in turkey tail mushrooms, can help to protect against free radical damage.

King Trumpet

King trumpet mushrooms are also very rich in antioxidants, and have especially high levels of ergothioneine. Ultimately, this mushroom can help fight oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and boost immunity.

What Are The Ryze Mushroom Coffee Benefits?

After reviewing all of the types of mushrooms inside Ryze Mushroom Coffee, we’ve summarized the benefits you may notice below:

Increased Energy

While caffeine can give you a boost of energy, excessive intake may lead to jitters and increased anxiety. That’s why incorporating stress-regulating mushrooms, like those present in Ryze Mushroom Coffee, may help to balance those energy spikes. The result is increased energy without the crash or jitters.

Improved Focus

Several of the adaptogenic mushrooms we discussed above have been shown in research to enhance focus, such as lion’s mane and cordyceps.

Immune System Boost

One interesting benefit that sets Ryze Mushroom Coffee apart from traditional coffee is the immune system boost. Many of the mushrooms in this coffee blend can help stimulate the immune system in such a way that they strengthen immune response.

What Are The Ryze Mushroom Coffee Side Effects?

Like any dietary supplement, there is a possibility of experiencing side effects. With Ryze Mushroom Coffee, it’s possible to experience side effects from the caffeine and/or the mushrooms.

Although there’s a low amount of caffeine in this product (48 mg) those that are very sensitive to caffeine may still experience jitters, nervousness, and headaches.

Additionally, those with a sensitivity to mushrooms may experience digestive discomfort or an allergic reaction when consuming the drink.

Always consult with your healthcare provider before incorporating any supplements into your routine to ensure they align with your individual health needs and medical conditions.
