Potentlift Review

What is Potentlift?

Potentlift is an anti-wrinkle serum that is claimed to mimic the results of a facelift and necklift without surgery. It is said to deliver an instant, all over firming effect while working to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles over time.

In this review, we’ll discuss how Potentift works, key ingredients in this serum, Potentlift reviews from real customers, an alternative for you to consider, and more.

Is Potentlift Worth The Money?

A common question about this brand is if the products are worth the cost.

In our opinion, Potentlift products are worth the money, but there are other brands that deliver greater value.

One brand is Carrot & Stick, a clean skincare brand that perfectly balances the gentle nurturing of plants with the powerful results of innovative science.

Carrot & Stick intro bundles deliver great value for money because you can bundle 3 full-size products worth up to $240 for $88.

How does Potentlift work?

Potentlift provides both instant and long term anti-wrinkle effects. Less than one minute after application, PotentLift forms a transparent layer on the skin that freezes the look of wrinkles as it dries. This instant anti-wrinkle effect is possible because of two ingredients: sodium silicate and magnesium aluminum silicate.

Sodium silicate, also known as liquid glass, creates a film that contracts the skin as it dries, creating a temporary lift to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

The results are said to last all day. However, as soon as the product is washed off the effect is gone. One problem with sodium silicate is that it is highly alkaline, which means it has a high pH level.

In chemistry, pH stands for “potential hydrogen” and it refers to the level of acidity or alkalinity in a given solution. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral, a pH less than 7 is acidic, and a pH greater than 7 is alkaline. Since the skin’s normal pH is about 5.5, highly alkaline ingredients like sodium silicate can be damaging to the skin.

Magnesium aluminum silicate is a naturally occurring mineral that may also be referred to as purified clay. In most skin care products, this ingredient is used to absorb excess facial oil and/or thicken the product’s formula.

However, in a product like the Potentlift serum, magnesium aluminum silicate increases the wrinkle-filling and plumping action of sodium silicate. If sodium silicate were used alone, there would not be as much of a “fill” within the wrinkle to lift and smooth it.

Magnesium aluminum silicate adds bulk to the wrinkle while sodium silicate lifts the wrinkle. The end result is an instantly smoothed wrinkle. However, keep in mind that these ingredients produce temporary results, lasting only several hours or until the product is washed off.

In addition to its immediate skin tightening benefits, PotentLift contains a mix of peptides and botanicals to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and lax skin with continued use. We’ll discuss these additional key ingredients in the next section.

Additional Potentlift ingredients

Many of the instant anti-wrinkle serums on the market only contain ingredients like sodium silicate and magnesium aluminum silicate that provide instant effects, but that’s about it. Fortunately, the Potentlift formula contains several ingredients that can provide long term anti-aging benefits.

For example, there are several botanical extracts used in the Potentlift formula, including acai fruit extract, perilla (Chinese Basil) extract, and white oak bark extract. These extracts were specially selected for their ability to thrive in harsh conditions, such as high altitudes, heat, and dryness.

Antioxidants help the skin combat free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.

Another beneficial ingredient in the Potentlift serum is sodium hyaluronate, the water-soluble salt form of hyaluronic acid. Sodium hyaluronate has a greater chemical stability and smaller molecular size than hyaluronic acid, which means it penetrates the skin better and has the ability to reach the deep dermal layer of skin. Sodium hyaluronate will help to attract moisture to the skin, resulting in smoother, softer skin with decreased wrinkles and a more plump appearance.

Potentlift features a very popular anti-aging peptide called acetyl hexapeptide-8, also known as Argireline. This six amino acid peptide is a fragment of SNAP-25 (a substrate of botulinum toxin).

It works by limiting the ability of neurotransmitters to activate movement in your facial muscles, for example, when forming facial expressions such as smiling or frowning.

By inhibiting the nerves that cause facial muscles to contract, subtle facial expressions are limited and wrinkles are subsequently reduced. In addition to Argireline, Potentlift features five more anti-aging peptides: pentapeptide-18, dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, acetyl octapeptide-3, and Matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7).

How to use Potentlift

Before using Potentlift, you must remove all makeup and any other products from your skin. It’s especially important to keep oil-based products away from the areas you’re applying it. This is because oil-based makeup removers, cleansers, and eye creams can leave behind a film which may create a barrier between your skin and the PotentLift serum.

After cleansing, apply a small amount of PotentLift to clean skin with fingertips, gently smoothing over targeted areas such as forehead wrinkles, eye wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and wrinkles around the mouth. There’s no need to rub Potentlift into skin. Then, allow 10 minutes for PotentLift to dry thoroughly before applying makeup. According to the brand, results will last hours or until you wash your face. For maximum effectiveness, do not apply any type of moisturizer to areas of skin where PotentLift is to be applied.

Is Potentlift cruelty free?

Potentlift is cruelty free; they do not test their serum on animals.

Where to buy Potentlift?

Potentlift is only sold on the brand’s website; it cannot be purchased through third party online retailers like Amazon.

What is the Potentlift return policy?

The Potentlift return policy states, “We definitely want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you’d like to return, we’re happy to honor our refund policy, excluding shipping fee within 15 days of purchase date for any reason (no questions asked). Refunds will be credited to the original form of payment. Our policy lasts 15 days. If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund for any reason.”

Potentlift reviews

Potentlift reviews on the brand’s website are all 5-star, very positive reviews, and it appears as though the brand only features 5-star reviews. One Potentlift review states, “Potentlift works! If you are looking for a product that will tighten and lift any area of skin on your body, with a smoothing and firming effect, this one works.” It’s unfortunate that the brand does not list Potentlift reviews from all customers so we could get a better idea of what people really think about this product.

What are some alternatives to Potentlift?

If you’re looking for skincare products to address the signs of aging, we recommend Carrot & Stick. Carrot & Stick maximizes the use of powerful ingredients and minimizes the use of superficial ones, resulting in advanced skincare solutions that help promote healthy, more youthful-looking skin. This product is not working at all for me either. I was going to return the item, till I seen your lucky to get half your money back if you do return it. They make it so you wont want to return it because of the money… not the product! Scam Like…I am sorry you haven’t heard back. I sent a message but I am sure I wont hear back either.

I had the same white residue, even when using very, very little. I was going to return my product till i reviewed their return policy. They do not refund your previous shipping cost, you pay for the return shipping, you are charged a 30% fee for returning the product, and refund takes atleast a 2 week turn around! 😮 I did not know that before ordering. I researched the product itself and it sounded great in reviews… but did not look into the return process if it was to not work!

There are a few reviews regarsing a white crust. I had this too; however, it was due to me applyingtoo much. A little bit of this serum goes a long ways. I use a small amount for my entire face, smooth it out, and no issues with the white crusty appearance. It also co.oletely eliminates me crows feet (doesnt work as well on my forehead but still evens the lines out better than when I dont use it). I recommend for sure and will definitely continue to purchase!

I’ve read comments about white film under eyes, I have a white film under my eyes as well. I washed it off and tried it again thinking I just put too much on, still saw it, not as bad. I tried it a few more times, now I have awful white discoloration under both eyes were I used the product. It’s impossible to cover of blend in. I have no idea what to do now.

If you use too much, it leaves a white residue. BUT, I have worked with this product and found my perfect balance. I don’t use any other product with it. I don’t rub it in. I leave a slight film, it dries and after 2 weeks my eye area has smoothed out. The line between my brow has smoothed out. I have used it night and day. I use Cerave sensitive skin wipes. Wait for a bit then apply Potent Lift Serum. I’ll continue using this product. It has helped with the lines around my lips too.

I got the same results as others here. After application and drying it leaves a white scaly residue. I tried using as little as possible and got the same results. It makes my skin look dry. I’m returning it for a refund

Has anyone else found that after the product has been applied as directed that it left white residue behind?
I’m returning this with disappointment 🙁

  • Jaye Mowrey Original review: Apr 21, 2021. Reply

If you don’t want the white film that it leaves on your skin you have to apply a little moisturizer over it which then reduces its effectiveness so all in all this product is not what it was advertised to be..

This serum is just the right product for my skin, it’s not greasy or heavy. A little goes a long way, has a light consistency, absorbs into the skin immediately, and its effects last from morning to night. The best reason why I would highly recommend this product is simply that it completely restored my 63-year-old skin and made it look less wrinkled and healthier.

I was excited to try this product and I am sad to say that I am very disappointed.
The description clearly states that it will not leave a “visible residue” when applied and this is a huge lie. It also states that the results will be instant and will leave the skin hydrated – this is also a lie.
When I apply this product to my skin it leaves a very visible film that dries out my skin causing MORE wrinkles on top of the ones I already have.
I bought two serums and two lifts for my mother and myself, we both had the same results.
I spent A LOT of money on this product so decided to use it consistently thinking that maybe it would make a difference. It has not. I am very disappointed.

PotentLift Serum: The serum is like any other serum you use after your toner and before moisturizing your skin. I have been using it consistently and have not seen a difference in wrinkles. It doesn’t necessary leave your skin hydrated. It feels like you shouldn’t apply just the serum on its own, I layer it with an oil-free moisturizer.

PotentLift “LIFT”: I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who wants to have smooth wrinkle-free skin. However, if you want your skin to have dry scaly patches, then this product is for you! I have consistently been applying this at night and every single time I get the same results: dry scaly patches on my skin with more wrinkles. This isn’t working for me.

I have sent them a chat and an email and still have not heard back.

Yes it does what it advertises BUT a short time after it dries it leaves a white crust! I tried many times in many places on my face, following the directions, with the same results. Therefore this product is absolutely useless and a huge waste of money!
