The acid works to treat dryness by forming a protective layer on the skin, and is commonly found in acne treatments and anti-inflammatory products. If using grapeseed oil, the lineleic acid is also thought to help metabolism at the cellular level, which helps prevent aging skin.

Although it may sound tempting at first, if you are considering using grapeseed oil for skin care, make sure to try it on a small patch of skin first. Any oil, and any ingredient for that matter, has the potential to cause an allergic reaction and even skin damage.

    I would definitely recommend purchasing an organic grapeseed oil, not conventional. Wine grapes are usually heavily sprayed with pesticides.

    A good organic grapeseed oil will last longer in the fridge, roughly 3 to 6 months.
