11.16.22DISCLAIMER

Everyone wants longer, fluffier, fuller looking lashes. But eyelashes extensions or false lashes can be time-consuming, damaging and expensive overtime. To remedy this issue, more and more companies have been releasing eyelash serums. These products claim to enhance your natural lashes and help you add length and fullness overtime. The FEG Eyelash Serum works similarly to improve the condition and appearance of your lashes after daily use for about 2 weeks. But what sets this eyelash serum apart from other options? We’re going to be looking at the formula behind this product to let you know whether it’s worth a try. So without further adieu, let’s get started!

What are the Best Skin Care Products of 2023?

Who is the FEG Eyelash Serum For?

The FEG Eyelash serum is suitable for just about anyone, as long as you don’t have any pre-existing allergies to any of the ingredients within the ingredient list. The skin around your eye area and your eye itself, are extremely sensitive, so we do recommend that you patch test this product before incorporating it into your everyday routine.

Feg Eyelash Enhancer

The FEG Eyelash Enhancer is designed to boost the appearance of your eyelashes within the first 7-14 days of consecutive use. In fact, the brand claims that you can successfully grow your lashes up to 2 millimeters in that two week span. With most lash serums, it’s expected that lash growth can take up to several months to become noticable. That said, everyone’s eyelashes are different so results may vary with this product.

But are these claims too good to be true? The unfortunate truth is that most eyelash serums are largely ineffective, for a number of reasons. Some of the most well known ingredients in these products, like castor oil, are excellent eyelash conditioners, but won’t actually extend your lashes. At the moment, there is only one eyelash serum on the market that has been FDA approved to lengthen your lashes, and it is currently only available with a prescription from your doctor or dermatologist.

Additionally, while you may see some improvements in darkness, thickness, your eyelashes grow and fall out on their own over a 30 to 45 day cycle. Because of this, any effects you see after the 2 week period will fade away over time.

Formula Focus

Looking at the formula behind the FEG Eyelash Enhancer, there are four key ingredients that are responsible for the majority of the claims behind this product. These four components include citric acid, benzalkonium chloride, disodium phosphate and sodium chloride. According to their website, it is this formula that allows your lashes to grow by stimulating the hair follicle and surrounding tissue. But what exactly do each of these key ingredients do?

Starting off with citric acid, there is very little research out there to support its use in eyelash serums. One study found that a combination of citric acid, arginine and centella asiatica led to a 20% increase in eyelash length, but since this was a combination formula, it’s impossible to know how much those results were affected by the presence of citric acid. Additionally, since the brand behind the FEG Eyelash Serum has not released their full ingredients list online, it’s difficult to know if this product contains either of the other two ingredients mentioned.

Moving on to benzalkonium chloride and sodium chloride, these two ingredients are also featured in the popular eyelash serum, Latisse. That said, these are listed as inactive ingredients in the formula, while bimatoprost is considered to be the active ingredient that can lead to the most results.

As you can see, unfortunately, these ingredients function more as lash conditioners than lash lengtheners. While keeping your lashes healthy and well-nourished will promote longer, fuller lashes, you probably won’t see anything noticeable in the short term.

How to Use the FEG Eyelash Enhancer?

As with most eyelash serums, the packaging for this product allows for easy, mess-free application. Simply apply the product as you would a mascara or mascara product to your bare lashes. Since this area of your face is especially sensitive, we highly recommend you perform a patch test and start slow, because there are some reviewers who reported irritation and puffy or swollen eyes following use of this product.

Review Recap

At the moment, the FEG Eyelash Serum has 320 and a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars. The feedback for this brand and this product is fairly mixed, with some individuals having great success, while others did not. An additional comment that we saw come up often was that this product burned following application, or caused irritation during use, so if you have a history of allergic reactions or have sensitive skin or eyes, this may not be the best option for you. But we’d love to hear from you! Have you had a chance to try the FEG Eyelash Serum? We’d love to hear all of your thoughts in the comments section down below!
