DermaClara Review

Addressing post acne marks, scarring and hyperpigmentation is one of the most difficult skin concerns to manage. But thankfully, new technologies are consistently being developed to appropriately manage and solve this issue. One of the newer options on the market is silicone fusion therapy. DermaClara is one of the few brands on the cusp of this new technology, that offers silicone patches to help facilitate this new type of therapy. But how exactly does this technology work? Today, we’re diving into this brand and their products to find out. So without further adieu, let’s get started!

About the Brand

DermaClara was developed by dermatologists in order to address some of the most difficult skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks and acne scarring. The resulting product, known as Clarafuse, are silicone patches that work to diminish the appearance of these skin conditions using silicone fusion therapy. This clinically proven therapy, along with the rest of the supporting skincare products, work together to diminish these markings with consistent use. These products are currently available almost exclusively through the DermaClara website, although you may be able to locate them through other small online retailers.

DermaClara began by developing their original Clarafuse silicone patches, which are essential components for what they refer to as their silicone infusion therapy. This therapy was designed to create a microclimate on the surface of the skin which helps to speed up the healing process and fade some of the most stubborn skin discolorations and markings, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and stretch marks. After launching their original Clarafuse silicone patches, the brand also released a range of products and tools that help to boost the benefits and speed up the results from the clarafuse technology. Today, the brand offers a full range of products to support fine lines and wrinkle reduction as well as a full range of products for scar reduction.

Starting with the range dedicated to fine lines and wrinkles, as well as stretch marks, we have three main steps. The first step includes the ClaraPrep cleanser. This purifying cleanser was designed to gently remove all of the dirt, debri and excess oil from the day without stripping the skin of moisture. This cleanser features a hydrating, creamy formula that softens the skin and helps to keep the skin in balance.

Step two involves applying the Clarafuse silicone patch to the main area of concern. These patches come in different shapes depending on the type of treatment you’re looking to achieve. For stretch marks, for example, the kit comes with a larger, heart shaped patch that adheres to any part of the skin. According to the brand, in order to get the best results for this product, the silicone patch must remain on the skin for at least one hour, although it is safe to wear the patch for as long as you like, and even overnight.

After wearing the silicone patch for the desired amount of time, you can move on to step three. This step is actually a two part process that involves a product as well as an additional tool. The first is a peptide serum called the Claraline was designed to enhance the results of the Clarafuse. Finally, the Claratone further enhances the penetration of the Claraline serum with the help of micropulse technology. The acne scarring line features a similar line up of products, with specially formatted silicone patches to fit perfectly on the checks, chin and forehead area, so that you can accurately target a designated area on the face as well as on the body.

Formula Focus

Looking more closely at the formulas and technologies behind these products, we can get a better picture oh how these products work together to deliver the impressive benefits that DermaClara has been able to deliver to users. Looking at the product offerings as a whole, we can get a sense of the idea that inspired this brand. Getting rid of stubborn stretch marks, acne scars, dark spots or deep set wrinkles often involves using very aggressive ingredients or treatments in order to see real results. Prescription strength retinoids, intensive laser treatments and other in office procedures tend to be the most recommended for those who are trying to fade these stubborn marks. But all of these often require quite a bit of pain, downtime and physical adjustment which includes dryness, peeling and increased sensitivity.

In comparison to these procedures, DermaClara offers a solution that is quite the opposite. DermaClara is completely non-invasive, painless, and can be done in the comfort of your own home. The entire range has been designed to be suitable for all skin types and the whole range follows that line of thinking. For example, looking at the cleanser, this product contains no irritants or harsh surfactants. The base of this formula contains water, myristic acid, glycerin, cocamidopropyl Betaine, stearic acid, sodium methyl cocoyl. Glycerin helps to hydrate and soothe the skin, while gentle surfactants like cocamidopropyl betaine gently cleanse the skin without stripping or drying.

Moving on to the star of the show, the Clarafuse patches are made of 100% medical grade silicone. These patches are applied to the skin and self adhere for as long as you’d like to wear them. The intention of these patches is to create a microclimate between the surface of the skin and the silicone patch. This microclimate allows hydration to shift from the deeper layers of the skin to the surface, while simultaneously speeding up the healing process and promoting collagen. All of these processes help to create a more even skin tone while diminishing stretch marks as well as acne marks.

Finally, the Claraline serum offers users an anti-aging serum that promotes a more youthful looking complexion without the use of harsh actives. This product uses peptides in order to further boost collagen production while botanical extracts such as green tea, licorice root, turmeric, centella asiatica and more help with everything from antioxidant protection to brightening and soothing the skin.
