If you’re looking for a multi-purpose product that offers both hydration as well as deep exfoliation, you may want to check out the BioElements Skin Editor Cream. The Skin Editor was designed to serve as a cosmetically elegant, leave on product that exfoliates the skin using alpha hydroxy acids, while providing all of the same benefits that you would expect from a moisturizing cream. The formula behind this product features 3% glycolic acid and 7% lactic acid to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells at the surface of the skin. Glycolic acid has a very small molecule size which allows it to penetrate deeply into the skin, while lactic acid acts as both an exfoliant and a humectant, drawing water to the surface layers. In addition to these ingredients, this formula also contains fermented black tea extract and Canadian willowherb which fight free radicals thanks to the antioxidants found in both ingredients. With all that said, it’s important to note that this formula does contain 10% AHA’s, and can be rather strong, especially for those with sensitive skin. Because of this, the brand recommends that those who are new to AHA’s use this product only 3 times a week, with increased frequency as the skin adapts.
